I noticed the Just Us Girls latest challenge is Watercoloured Background, hosted by Bobby. I LOVE Bobby's style of card making and have been following her for a long time now. And my very talented friend, Julia is the Guest Designer at JUGS this month. I just couldn't miss playing along.
The background is smooshed using liquid watercolour concentrate with water - magenta and orange which has created a coral and pink background - LOVE IT! After it was dry, I wanted to "glam" it up a bit, so smooshed some gold over top. I used Delicata Gold re-inker and water for my top layer.
Attached the watercoloured background to a white framed flower die-cut and then stamped the sentiment in matching gold ink. Super fun card to make!
Here's a close-up ...
Stamps: Everyday Sentiments (AliExpress)
Paper: Watercolour (Arches 140 lb. hot press); White (Neenah 110 lb. card stock)
Ink: Delicata Gold (Tsukineko)
Accessories & Tools: Liquid Watercolour Concentrate in Magenta and Orange (Dick Blick), waer mister, Floral Stem Collage die (Poppy Stamps), Delicata Gold re-inker (Tsukineko)

You pick the neatest colors to do your smooshing backgrounds. This one looks very summery with the crisp white flowers! I need you to come help me clear out a lot of my stash! Good for you at this organizing, as I expect it was a big chore to sort through, decide what you want to keep. This is - as usual - just gorgeous! TFS & Hugs
Just fabulous, Loll. I love the colours. xx
What a gorgeous background and beautiful color! Love the idea of adding gold to it for some shimmer. Thank you for the reminder for me to pull out that die again. This is such a cheerful card.
Beautiful background with the bit of gold added to the perfect "Loll colours"! Perfect for the layered flower die!
The background smooshing colours are glorious and the gold is so glamorous. Perfect CAS card and the crisp white pretty die cut sets it off beautifully. Well done you on sorting out your crafting goodies x
Excellent smooching, Lolly! The warms colors look so great with the gold and it all makes the white even whiter! Love it and I'll bet you love your newly organized play space!! Hugs, Dolly
Love that background, Loll! Beautiful colors and the gold adds such elegance! We were thinking alike on using this die and sit side by side in the gallery! Great minds....
Wow Loll, you did what I should be doing in my crafty room and once I get my energy levels back up and my BP managed again, I hope to start it. Good for you for getting cleaned out and reorganized! Loving this beautiful card! That background is just stunning. I need to try this color combo because it is beautiful. Love that flower as well. Is it part of the frame or does it just look that way? Anyway, I am in love with this one! Hugs, Brenda
Absolutely Gorgeous watercolored background, Loll. Love the added gold accents. Your white die cut and framed flower is so beautiful with the background. Congratulations on finishing your room, my friend. Hugs...
Loll, I love your yummy background with all that pink and gold. It's perfect for that beautiful die cut :)
What a gorgeous smooshed background, Loll! The colors are so YOU! I love these colors too. Adding the Delicata Gold onto the top layer really makes a difference. The white frame and the white flower die-cuts bring out the background colors beautifully. Hideko xx
Great minds think alike with you and Bonnie! Just came from her blog and you both made birthday cards with the same die in a similar design!
Your colour choices always WOW me, Loll! Your smooshed background is just gorgeous. Adding the gold steps it up to the next level. xx
Gorgeous, Loll ... luscious pinks/corals with the gold ... the crisp white bloom is just lovely against it! Hugs, Anita :)
A fabulous card - I love the beautiful colours in your background.

Congratulations on making progress in organizing your crafty space. What a job, but what a feeling of accomplishment when completed. Your card is gorgeous. Adore those colors in the background! Fantastic work all around. Happy weekend! :)
I can never find anything after I organize either! I love this background. Adding the gold is a beautiful touch.
I just LOVE the colors in your background Loll, and that bit of gold really brings this card up another level...SOOOO pretty! And your simple white flower really pops against the background too...lovely, lovely card my friend! I'm jealous that your craft room is all organized...mine really needs to be gone through too and have things thrown away that I haven't used in forever! Summer weather is not conducive to me tackling big projects though, so maybe this Fall...unless you want to come over and help?? Haha! Hope you have a great weekend my friend!! :0)
I remember when you told me these were your favourite colours. I think they are my favourite too especially after seeing you create magic with them. What a beauty this card is!
The gold looks fab against the pinky coral and your background just glows against the white.
Well done with your clear out. Every time I do that I end up 'needing' one of the stamps I got rid of! My friend says that squirrels shouldn't clean their own drays, she knows me far too well!! ;)
The gold adds a great touch of elegance to your pretty watercolored background Loll - and I just love that white die cut in front!
Phenomenal background! It doesn't need more than a pretty, framed die cut!
Another gorgeous card as you know how to make them ! Love this warm and bright background and especially the gold touches! The white flower frame stunningly pops up ! Love it ! Thanks so much for sharing and inspiring! xx
What a stunning card Loll - love the background!
Blessings
Maxine
This background is amazing, Loll. I love how the evil in the form of threads permeates the background. It looks stunning in contrast with a white panel and a white flower.
Hugs,

Incredible smooshing going on here. What a terrific colour combo, delicious. And that die, I just love it even more with this spectacular card. B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L !!!
I can't believe I missed this post and the lovely shout out, Loll. Well I guess I can believe it because I am so far behind in commenting and I'm making an attempt to catch up. I'm going through all your posts now and while I may not comment on each one I will have seen them all by the time I get to the newest one. I love your work and don't want to miss seeing what you've been doing.
