Die-cut the leaf frame and glued it to a piece of faux-mother-of pearl card stock which was sponged with antique linen .. very subtle but adds another layer of warmth to the card. Stamped the sentiment in rust and popped up the panel on foam for more dimension.
I then used the negative pieces of the alcohol ink paper, along with another die-cut of the leafy frame from white, popped it up over a piece of copper coloured card stock and added that to a kraft card base. Sentiment is the same as above, stamped with the same colour.
Jer loves to "shop" at Mom's card store and has already claimed the kraft based card for himself. :)

Gorgeous autumn color palette, Loll! I love how you deepened the tones on your background panel for the first card, and how you showcased the patterns on your alcohol inked panel on the 2nd card! Both cards are perfect for a masculine birthday, too...Beautiful work, my friend!

I totally agree with Anita from France :-). The first card is so light, it has so much air and space. The second card is darker, but not dark. It is warm as a cozy room on a winter evening, which brightens the fire from the fireplace. I love the feeling that this card arouses in me.

Both of these are winners, Loll. Love the look of both of them. That yupo leaf is really pretty.
