I love lilies so when I saw this stamp set, I had to buy it! :) I made a stencil monoprint background using a mini dot stencil and distress inks (spiced marmalade, abandoned coral, mustard seed). Once dry, I tore off the top on an angle and then stamped my lilies in permanent ink. I watercoloured the image with more distress inks (abandoned coral, festive berries, barn door, peeled paint). Adhered the torn panel to a white card base and stamped my sentiment in black.
Stencil Monoprint is my FAVOURITE stenciling technique. And I find watercolouring with inks so relaxing and fun!

ReplyDeleteOh Loll this is gorgeous - love the lilies and how you have coloured them - I am intrigued by the fact that you stamped them onto the stencilled background and then coloured them!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous stencil monoprint background using your TCW Mini Dot stencil, Loll. I love how you stamped your pretty lilies and colored with the same Distress inks as your background. Beautiful angled torn edge too. TFS my friend. Hugs..

ReplyDeleteThe blend of the soft warm colors and the Stencil Monoprint effect are so pretty. Loll! I love it! It looks like sunshine is coming through the dots. The lilies are beautiful and the white gel pen dots are a very nice touch. The angled torn edge is both artistic and practical! Hideko xx
ReplyDeleteA great background for your beautiful lilies, Loll. I love multicolor and unpredictability, as water will lead the color. I also love how a white area sneaks into the card thanks to tearing the background card. A great card!
