Hi everyone. Today I'm sharing a card highlighting one of the beautiful flowers from the
ebullient stamp set.
The background is done with smooshing alcohol inks onto
heatproof acetate. This is a simple technique and by using acetate, it gives the piece a translucent, shiny finish. I used one of my favourite colour combinations of plum, yellow, and orange. This beautiful flower from Penny Black is heat embossed in silver on the acetate (non-ink side). The coloured panel is mounted onto a piece of white card stock the same width, but about 1/2" longer, leaving room for the sentiment which is heat embossed in silver to match the image.
Here's a close-up ...

what a great way to use alcohol inks - love those colors with that lovely flower stamp!!
How did you affix the acetate to the backing paper. Beautifully done.
Those are the most wonderful rich colours - perfectly suited to the "lots of love" sentiment. A beautiful card!
Absolutely Stunning Alcohol Ink background for your beautifully stamped and heat embossed PB flower, Loll. TFS and brightening my day:-) Hugs..
Certainly is stunning Loll. A truly beautiful card. Thanks for sharing how you made it as it is a technique that's just a little different.
What gorgeous colors! Love the shine from the acetate and that wonderful, embossed Penny Black image. Didn't know there was such a thing as heat resistant acetate. I'm strongly resisting the urge to shop yet again tonight.
A beautiful background for this pretty flower! Love, love, love this layout!
The silver embossing of that lovely bloom is beautiful over your wonderfully inked background Loll - great design with the white background being a bit longer so all of it is raised above the card base!
Lots of love with this beauty, Loll! Love the silver embossed flowers with your favourite colour combo background! The colours are so rich and vibrant. So eye-catching! xx
Well done with the embossing, it looks so crisp against the colourful acetate. :)
Stunning colours and the background on 'heatproof' acetate, must look into this..xx
Wow - Loll this is amazing - love how the flower looks so delicate against the stunning background
Blessings

Wow, this is just stunning Loll! I didn't know there was heatproof acetate so this blows my mind. It must be so much fun to move the ink around and then be able to emboss on top of the acetate! Very cool, very beautiful! Hugs, Brenda
The vibrant alcohol ink on acetate looks amazing, and what a gorgeous flower!
This is definitely simplicity at it's best. The gorgeous bold colours look fabulous behind the pretty embossed flower xx
Oh my gosh Loll, this is absolutely GORGEOUS! I love the effects of the alcohol inks with this beautiful bloom...what a great idea to use heat proof acetate, too! I'm so impressed with your creativity...WOW!
I just noticed my heatproof acetate sitting still unopened. Now I know a way to use it! Gorgeous, unique card, Loll!
This is stunning, Loll! I love the pretty flowers with your gorgeous and dreamy alcohol ink background! I love the color combo too, and the colors are rich and vibrant. When I see outline stamps, I automatically think of just coloring them, but now I know I can use them with colored background like this. Thank you so much for showing us a new way. Using a bit longer white card piece for the sentiment space is cleaver too and I may borrow your idea some day. :-)

Vibrant, elegant and gorgeous, Loll ... what a beauty! Hugs, Anita :)
Very striking colours and the background is unique and wonderful and all finished off with that pretty stamped and heat embossed flower x.
WOW...absolutely GORGEOUS Loll! Never thought of smooshing on acetate before, but I have the heat resistant kind, so I'll have to give this a try! It makes a perfect background for your lovely embossed flower! Beautiful, beautiful card my friend!! :0)
What a stunning background for that pretty, silver embossed flower! Breathtaking!
The shining, translucent background effect is stunning. I love how flowers take the background colors, they are so beautiful. Silver stamping complements the card perfectly.
