Autumn Flowers

Hi everyone.  Today I'm sharing another card for the CAS Watercolour October Challenge - Orange, Green, and Brown.  I love this colour combination!

I used a beautiful die-cut flower that was gifted to me by my friend Hideko.  Isn't it pretty??!!  She sent me several to play with, so you'll be seeing more of these. :)  Thanks Hideko!

I watercoloured the die-cuts with distress inks and then added them to my card base along with a stamped sentiment.  I added some liquid pearls to the center of the flower, but they don't show up in the photo.  Simple, CAS design.

Here's a close-up ...
We are celebrating our 2nd Birthday at CAS Watercolour.  I hope you'll come play along!

Edited to add:  Was asked by what die I used for the card above ... it is Cornflowers made by Alexandra Renke.

Stamps:  Grateful (Penny Black)
Paper:  White (Neenah), Mixed media (die-cut flowers)
Ink:  Distress Inks:  Spiced Marmalade, Carved Pumpkin, Peeled Paint, Walnut Stain (Tim Holtz)
Accessories & Tools:  Cornflowers die (Alexandra Renke), water brush, chocolate liquid pearls

  4. I heard cornflowers' joyful singing from my computer just now so I tracked it down and here I am! ;-P
Your coloring is amazing, Loll! You used only a few colors, but the flowers have so much depth and interest. The chocolate liquid pearls must be a shinier accent IRL. I love the elegant and simple design too!
Thank you so much for turning the die-cut into this beauty!
    Hideko xx

  11. I have tried to color a die cut and that's no easy job! I ended up giving up. Yours turned out beautifully! I just found the working area too small or I'm too clumsy. I do love the blend of color on this gorgeous blossom! How fun to play with a new die cut!
