I absolutely adore this stamp. I smiled the whole time I was making my card. :)
I stamped the critters on mixed media paper with Versafine (permanent) black ink. I heat set the image and then watercoloured using a mix of SU! and Distress inks.
I placed my finished piece in my grill to warm it and sprinkled chunky white frantage on top to add some falling snow. The frantage melts quickly on the grill. I stamped the sentiment in red ink, added crystal glaze to the lantern, and sparkle to the white cuffs and pompoms of the Santa hat, using clear wink of stella.

ReplyDeleteThat image makes me feel so happy! Just love the little critters. You coloured them beautifully. And great idea to use the grill for the chunky frantage - easier than heating underneath with the heat gun!

ReplyDeleteOMG, Loll...I just love your Holly Jolly beautifully colored hedgies. What a great idea to place your finished card on your grill to melt the Frantage snow. TFS your adorable critter card and the link to the cute stamp set. Merry Christmas, my friend. Hugs..Nancy
ReplyDeletevery cute card!
ReplyDeleteStunning and yes smiley image Loll makes a grand card.
ReplyDeleteYour grill is heat from under or heat from above? I'm guessing heat coming from underneath?
In Oz stove grills commonly heat source from above and I would reckon incinerating my creation would result!

ReplyDeleteHedgies are so adorable and having a parade of them for Christmas is so sweet. The coloring and shading is great and I love the bright red sentiment. Loll, can you just sprinkle frantage on card stock and put it on the grill to melt it without embossing powder? I love that technique with the frantage.
