Happy Birthday Monoprint

Hi everyone.  Time for a reminder for the CAS Stencil February Challenge.  Today's card I made for a very special friend a while ago.  I started with the stencil monoprint of a mini tiny circles stencil using Lindy's magicals.  I love this teal colour with all the shimmer (which doesn't show in the photo, unfortunately.

After everything had dried, I place the same stencil over top of the background and sponged on some Evergreen Bough Distress ink ... those are the darker circles that you see in the background.  I stamped the sentiment in the same in on the card front with a circle aperture.  I die-cut two of lavender flowers, and arranged them in the circle so that the tallest is just outside of the circle.

Here's a close-up ...
Come check out our challenge post to see the other reminder cards from our very talented Designers  and all the entries so far this month.  Lots of inspiration!  Then come join us.

Love how you used the monoprint with the wonderful Lindys and then went over it again with the distress ink using the same stencil. Very creative card, beautiful colours of teal, wonderful die cut layout and such a stunning CAS card x.

So pretty in the greens Loll - love the dots on the stencil all framed in the white circle - and nice touch continuing the green on the sentiment - I usually just use black - and must try a color sometime!

That background could stand alone, Loll but it looks wonderful behind the white die cut. Also love that you enhanced the mono print with more stenciling. Great way to add more interest. Thanks for always describing your process in detail too.

You make it look so easy, Loll. And you make it look so beautiful, too. That teal is gorgeous, and I would never thought to pair it with an evergreen color. Love the lavender sprigs as well. Such a pretty card. Bev

Gorgeous monoprint and I LOVE how you brought out all the different shades of teal with your Lindy's Magicals! (I think it's time I buy some of these powders) Your sweet lavender blooms are just perfect against the stenciled pattern, too! Such a beautiful birthday card, Loll!

Gorgeous stenciled monoprint Magicals background for your aperture, Loll. I love how you went over your background to sponge a darker shade of dots. Wonderful added texture. I must remember your technique of tucking in additional die cut lavender sprigs elements.. Wonderful curved sentiment too. Every detail is so creative and inspiring, my friend. Hugs..Nancy
