Hi everyone. Had a play day last weekend with my CAS team mates, Susan, Christine and Trina. We tried out a few new things and one was using rubber cement with stencils and watercolouring. Rubber cement is an old fashioned product that is very inexpensive to use, but it does have a strong smell, so best to use it in a well ventalated room (or even outside if the weather permits).
We followed the instructions on this video tutorial and it worked great!
For my card I used red and pink to watercolour the roses, so I'm adding this to the CAS Watercolour challenge gallery for February. There's still a few days left before the challenge closes at end of day Feb. 24th. Come check out the beautiful red and pink gallery ... it's really something to see!
Here's a close-up ...
I really like this technique and will definitely do more cards. I thought this turned out really well for my first try.

Thanks for sharing the tutorial, I got to try it! Your card turned out really pretty- beautiful colors!
Is it just me or are new and amazing techniques coming out more frequently than they ever did before in this hobby? This one is awesome and so easy (my favorite kind) and you did a sensational job with it, Lolly! Your card is so pretty! Now if you could add five more hours to my day ...! Hugs, Dolly
looks amazing mounted Loll, I really want to try this again :)
So pretty finished into a card, Loll. Beautiful watercolouring as always. I just bought some Elmer’s cement glue to do more if this technique.
xx
What a great technique, I will have to see what the rubber cement equivalent is over here! Fab card as ever, :)
I couldn't imagine how you'd use rubber cement in stamping, so I watched the video. Interesting! This turned out very pretty. Love the sweet, fresh green with pink. You make CAS look so good!
Such a beautiful card and love the colour combination and the fun technique. Love how you stamped the sentiment in the green too x.
So glad you used the stenciled piece, Loll - it turned out to make a beautiful card! Perfect with the oval framing and the green sentiment!
This is gorgeous, what a fab technique. Guess where I'm going next ..... off to look for rubber cement so I can give this a try ..... Thanks for sharing xx
I adore the oval aperture with the pretty stencilled flowers behind Loll, and a matching colour for the sentiment too. x
A great technique that allows you to achieve such amazing effects. I love your beautiful card in amazing, vibrant colors.

So fresh and pretty, Loll ... off to see the video to see how you created this little lovely! Hugs, Anita :)
You definitely master watercolouring. ...even through a stencil, now that's difficult. Love the matching coloured sentiment and the popping up of that oval aperture. Bravo! xx
