CAS Christmas March Challenge

Hi everyone.  It's the start of the CAS Christmas March Challenge and we are also celebrating our 1st birthday!  YAY!  Susan (Cardmaker's Garret) is our host this month and she has chosen a wonderful theme ...


We are celebrating our 1st bithday and there's a party going on with prizes.

I used Bokeh to make the background.  I'm loving this technique after making cards for January's CAS Mix Up challenge.  It makes such a beautiful background without too much effort.  Love the simplicity of adding a white die-cut deer and torn white snow hill.  I used Clear Wink of Stella on the top of the snow and on the deer's beautiful antlers.  The sparkle is so pretty in real life, but hard to see in photos.  A simple sentiment is stamped in silver to finish the card.

Paper:  White card stock (Neenah 110 lb.)

    Great idea to create the Bokeh effect for your background, Loll...it's so striking! Love this stunning deer and how you created the sparkly snowy hills! Such a beautiful card!!!

    I have to say that I enjoyed the bokeh technique as well and just want to keep making more and more backgrounds using that technique. lol Your card is just beautiful Loll! I love the background of course and I love that beautiful and stunning stag! You have some great sparkle on the snow and the antlers and I can only imagine how beautiful it is in real life.
