March Rudolph Days

Hi everyone.  Today's card is for the March Rudolph Days.  This is a quick card with sponging distress inks over a stencil (pink for the flowers, lime for the holly).  No masking so there is a little overlapping of colours, but I'm happy with how it turned out.  And it only took a few minutes.  I added black lines with a thick black sharpie marker and stamped the sentiment in black.

Very quick, easy, one-layer card. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps:  Art Deco Celebrate Christmas (Poppy Stamps)
Paper:  White card stock (Neenah 110 lb.)
Ink:  Distress Inks:  Picked Raspberry, Twisted Citron (Tim Holtz); Black (Memento)
Accessories & Tools:  Poinsettia stencil (Tim Holtz), mini sponges, black sharpie marker

Hi Loll,
Happy Rudolf Days.
What a very gorgeous design and such super stencilling.
The colours look so pretty.
If I had put those lines in they wouldn't be as straight as yours.
This reminds me I have a similar stencil must use it now I have seen this super card.
Thank you for joining the Rudolf Challenge.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L. DT

The lime and pink are stunning together, especially with the bit of black! Love this (and I'm not a big fan of non-traditional Christmas colours!).

wonderful colour combo and so impressed with your OLC, I really struggle with them. great outlining with the Sharpie to create the illusion of layers :)

Beautiful card Loll, I love the colors you used and even love the overlapping of the colors, it just gives this card character. Looks fast and simple, but oh so elegant. I also thought the black was paper, only to read it was a sharpie. Funny how things trick like that can trick the eye and give such beautiful results, love how the black sentiment works well with the black lines. I just love this card for Rudolph Day! Hugs, Brenda

Beautiful coloring on this pretty Christmas card, Lolly! And great idea to add depth with your marker so it looks like another panel underneath!! Hugs, Dolly

Gorgeously stenciled holly card, Loll! You used unexpected colors and they look fresh. The black lines gives the card a finished-look. They look so straight and even that I thought you layered a black panel underneath!
