Hi everyone. Today is the reminder post for
CAS Stencil April Challnege - Embossing Pastes / Gels, host by the lovely,
Barb.
I had a lot of fun making this pretty stencil monoprint using a flourish stencil. I used Tiffanylou Blue Magicals and once it as dry, I placed the stencil back over top, lining of up the image, and added white embossing paste with a palette knife. I love how the magicals add bits of shimmer here and there in the background. The image has an antique frame with a very small opening. I wanted to focus the eye on the background, and the pretty leaf die-cut that is also coloured with the same magical powders. A simple sentiment is stamped in Delicata silver ink.
Here's a close-up ...

Truly Magical background stenciled image using your Lindy's Magical and embossing paste with your flourish stencil, Loll. TFS the close up of all the shimmer/glitter from the Magicals. Your small die cut Antique window and die cut pretty leaves were the perfect embellishment. Sweet sentiment too. TFS my friend. Hugs..Nancy

Love this card, Loll. These are my fave colors and the flourish background design is so feminine. The paste over the stenciled image is striking and an interesting contrast with the simpler leaf. Very eye-catching!

ReplyDeleteWhat a phenomenal idea to use Magicals with embossing paste, Loll. The effect is striking and eye-catching. Love the colours and antique frame. xx
I adore the blue Magicals for the stencilled monoprint Loll, then highlighting the flourish shapes on the stencil with the texture paste looks so pretty, and the blue leaves coordinate beautifully too. The antique frame shows it all off so well, and love the silver sentiment. x
