Hi everyone. Time for the reminder post for
CAS Mix Up June Challenge - Ombre.
Mac is hosting and
Bobby is our Guest Designer this month. There are lots of beautiful ombre CAS cards in the gallery!
I started by stamping the cherry blossoms in Versamark ink and heat embossing with silver. I used a sponge and one colour of distress ink (Twisted Citron) to sponge the top corner of my card front. I added lots of layers of ink to build the colour ... going from dark in the corner to light in the center of the card. I used my clean water brush to remove some of the green ink from the flowers before watercolouring with distress inks. The sentiment is stamped and heat embossed in silver to match the image.
Here's a close-up ...
Check out the

Beautiful card. The cherry blossom is so pretty. x
Such a beautiful card and love the vibrant greens with the striking ombre effect. Love the technique of removing some of the colour with water and then water colouring those ever so pretty blossoms. Wonderful sentiment too Loll x
Oh, so gorgeous! Such pretty pink flowers! Wonderful background in green, too!
Gorgeous Loll, loving the colour combination so vibrant and pretty and elegant with the silver embossing
Stunning card, Loll. The cherry blossoms look beautiful embossed in silver. xx
Beautiful sponging! What a gorgeous ombre effect. Can't get over that you were able to remove color from the blossoms. I have difficulty with mixed media paper if it dried to long, trying to lift it. After seeing this, I'm going to have to try again though.
Beautiful Loll, I love the way you removed the colour from the flowers with water. gorgeous image and colouring of the cherry blossoms :)
I love the darker to lighter sponged green background for your beautifully watercolored cherry blossoms, Loll. TFS your beauty. Hugs...

This is so pretty, Loll! Your cherry blossoms look so lovely against the beautiful lime green ombre background. You are the Queen of Twisted Citron! :-)

Your silver embossed apple blossoms are so pretty, Loll! I love the contrast with the citron and pink and the light to dark shades of the ink in the background. A beautiful Spring card!
Just one word ...... beautiful! xx

Delicate and so pretty, Loll ... the silver embossing is fabulous with the glow you created with the ombré blending! Hugs, Anita :)
Striking colours, Loll. The bright green background provides gorgeous contrast for your beautifully coloured blossoms. Amazing job lifting the colors from the flowers too. xx
Ombre background. Ombre flowers. Such a great combination, Loll, especially when they are embossed with silver.
