Hi everyone. More from the
Penny Black Full Bloom release. Today's card uses a very, large, single flower that really makes a statement. This image (
dreams of love 40-677), is used along with the matching die and die sentiment, (
dreams ... cut out 51-529).
This is a very CAS design with just the one flower and sentiment die-cut. The flower was inked with watercolour markers, spritzed with water, and stamped onto mixed media paper. I blotted with a paper towel to create a subtle image. I repeated until I was happy with the image. Four colours of watercolour markers were used for the flower (green, light orange, dark orange, and light red). Watercolour pencils were used to add some detailing to the petals and leaves.
I die-cut the same image from foam, adhering to my watercoloured bloom, and then adhered it to my card front. The love sentiment is also layered with black foam under the black card stock.
Here's a close-up ...
Thank for stopping by for a visit!
