Here's a close-up ...
I have another card with the same image (this was the first one I made). I used red card stock for the base and watercoloured in lighter colours, adding the glitter glue on top. The image and sentiment are both heat embossed in liquid platinum. I like my second version better (card at the top). Shows you that making a few small changes made a big impact on the design.

This trio of images looks great on both cards Loll and love the colouring and the glittery finish. Like you I think I prefer the green background to the red but they are both very pretty. x
ReplyDeleteFab as always Loll. x
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are so pretty and the stamped image is beautiful. Traditional Christmas colours, which are wonderful x. Plenty of shimmer and of course no favourites but the green one slightly nudges it x....

Brilliant cards, Loll, great design with the added sparkle. I love them both, but I think the green one is my favourite. xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty stamp, Loll, and you've done it up beautifully with the platinum embossing and watercoloring! I'm partial to the green too, but the red is a really close second!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow! Lovely Christmas cards, Loll! Very pretty images embossed in platinum! Very classy cards, so beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteTwo very beautiful cards Loll and I love the stamp you used! Love the water coloring and glitter glue combo too...sooooo pretty! I do think I favor the green card more but I do like the red one too! Lovely, lovely cards my friend!! :0)
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are so pretty Loll, I always love your platinum embossing with watercolouring. Your traditional green and red are perfect for these images :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards - and what a great idea to use coloured glitter glue over your watercolouring. I agree that the card on the green card base is nicer - I like its richness of the watercolour better and somehow the green card base just works better than the red. Thanks for sharing both.
ReplyDeleteTwo Gorgeous stamped and heat embossed glitter glue Christmas images, Loll. I love your colored "white" space card bases and your different coloring techniques. TFS and for sharing your detailed descriptions. Hugs...Nancy
ReplyDeleteI don't have a favorite, they are both beautiful. I like the three individual images embossed and glittered. Great coloring on both.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are beauties. You are sparking my imagination!
ReplyDeleteThis trio is perfect for Christmas cards. Both cards are great, the added glow makes them so elegant. It's hard for me to decide which color is my favorite because both are beautiful

Both cards are stunning ...... love the traditional colours. The heat embossing gives a beautiful rich look and the added glitter makes them even more special xx
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful Christmas cards, Loll! I love both, but I must say Glitter Glue adds the most gorgeous shimmer to your design! I also love the font on your sentiments...they're really perfect!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are beautiful Loll, but I agree that your second one certainly has the most impact

Both are beautiful, Loll. Incredible sparkle... great job capturing that in your close-up photos. I don’t think I’ve heard of coloured glitter glue... is that like coloured Wink of Stella? xx
ReplyDeleteA fabulous duo of trios, Loll! The shimmer and shine is fabulous over your lovely colouring ... subtle or bright, they're both gorgeous! Hugs, Anita :)
