I sponged Squeezed Lemonade and Worn Lipstick distress inks onto mixed media paper. A flourish stencil was placed over top and colour removed using a baby wipe. Die-cut with a stitched hexagon and stamped the silhouette image in black and added the sentiment. I thought the hexagon looked better as a square card, so cut it down. Fun card to make.
As I mentioned in my title ... a little help from my friends ... This card was possible because of the generosity of two of my lovely friends. Christine gave me a set of stitched hexagon dies, and Barb gifted me the lovely Uniko stamp set. :) Thank you so much Christine and Barb!!
Close-up ...
I also had a small panel of the stenciled flourish left, so I create this quick and easy card ...
Cut the panel to size and stamped a NBUS image from Stampendous. Watercoloured the flower and bee, then added crystal glaze to the flower's center for a little shine and dimension. Popped up the panel on my card base and it was done. Rather than adding this panel to my huge stash of leftover pieces, it's done and dusted, with a fun card to boot! :)

You are very welcome, Loll! I knew you would create something beautiful with this set, and you did! The flourishes are so pretty in the background, too...I love how they create a dreamy feel to your design! Great idea to use the hexagon, too! I also love how you stamped the whimsical flower and bee on your 2nd card...so clever and also perfect with the background! You did an amazing job with this technique ~ Barb xx
So fun to get gifts from crafty friends! I love the colors you used on your background and the wonderful flourish stencil - it's the perfect backdrop for your silhouette stem stampings - and what a bonus to have a piece left to make another lovely card! that's a fun flower with the dots and gloss over it! xx
Such gorgeous cards! Truly inspiring! Tfs
Love these colors with the baby wiped flourishes, Loll! Perfect for the silhouetted flowers and the happy daisy. The glazed center makes this super cheerful. Two beauties, my friend!
Lovely soft background panel Loll, so pretty with the black silhouette and the hexagon adding more charm to the card.... fabulous daisy card too, with the gloss accent adding another layer of interest, love them both, hugs Robyn
Both of these cards really caught my attention! Besides being my favorite color combination for backgrounds (orange, yellow, pink) I love that it's a hex- so different and the silhouette proves such a rich contrast. Magnificent background!
OMG Loll, I Love your Flourish stenciling over your DI background using a babywipe. I have that stencil..hmmm..you have me inspired as always, my friend!! Your stamped silhouette image, die cut hexagon and sweet sentiment on your square format are so...Inspiring!
Love your 2nd sweet card with your leftover piece and stamped flower and bee image. So sweet and pretty. TFS both cards, Loll. Hugs..Nancy
Oh Loll what great cards - love that soft coloured and stencilled background, and both cards, although totally different, are gorgeous - love them both

Fabulous use of the baby wipe technique Loll on both cards, but love the hexagon shape of the first with the glorious silhouette leaves, but also love the sweet glossy centred flower with the cute bee...a tremendous twofer using the leftover piece of background. x
These look so pretty. The colours are beautiful and I love the flourish in the background with the statement black. The hexagon on the square card base looks fab! xx
These are lovely, Loll. That stencil is so pretty and the soft colors made a beautiful background for both cards. I like the silhouette stamp and that cute flower with the bee.
This is my second attempt at leaving you a comment... got an error msg. last tine. 🤔
So pretty, Loll, and not just one but TWO! You and Bonnie are on the same train creating twofers from leftovers. 👏 Stamping the images in black is a fab contrast. x

Gorgeous BGs but the stamping on these impress me the most. The intense black make these beauties stunners. The crystal glaze not only interests that bee but the viewer too. xx
