Love Bug Christmas

Hi everyone.  Today's card is a reminder for the CAS Christmas challenge - Winter Scene, hosted by the wonderfully talented Susan!


I used another NBUS stamp ... this time from Unity.  I thought this was adorable and had to buy the set. :)

I stamped in permanent black ink, set with my heat tool (just to be safe) and then watercoloured using distress inks.  I added a light gray wash to the background when I was finished.  This seemed to be perfect for a square card, so cut it down and added a thin red card stock frame, popping up the panel on my square card base.  I stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set in red to finish.

    This love bug is so sweet with its heavy burden of presents and tree and not forgetting the wreath too. I love the colours you have used and the red mat shows it off and ties in well with the red parcels and large bow on the wreath. A gorgeous card Loll. x

    This car is so laden with Christmas that it will be welcomed in anybody's home! What a fun design, my friend, and so beautifully colored! The soft gray wash is perfect for making all these colors pop!
