Hi everyone. Today is a reminder for the CAS Mix Up November challenge - Oxidized Metal, which is hosted by the super talented Susan (Cats Inkcorporated).
I started with a piece of plum mirror paper. I cut a small panel and dry embossed with small tiles embossing folder. I randomly sprinkled with silver and gold embossing powders on top, leaving lots of spaces without any powder. I heat embossed to melt the powders and then ran Staz-On black ink over top, which caught the tops of the dry embossing. I die-cut my maple leaf and inlaid it into my card front. Stamped a simple sentiment to finish.

Gorgeous maple leaf, Loll! I love the effects of your embossing technique...the silver and gold embossing powders look amazing with the plum mirror cardstock, and I love how you inlaid the leaf for your design! Fabulous masculine card ~ Barb xx
I love how that embossing fit on the maple leaf and the colors you've used! This is a magnificent maple leaf, my friend!
Wonderful leaf in beautiful colours! And what a perfectly CAS card!
Your colors are incredibly beautiful! I love how different they are for a fall card. I also love how you randomly embossed it, not covering that entire leaf. You do have some wonderful, creative ideas! Time to take a second look at my mirrored card stock after seeing this.
Oh My -- this is terrific! Love the colors, the beautiful leaf and the technique just wows!

The leaf is absolutely gorgeous, Loll!!
The plum mirror c/s made a lovely leaf with the gold and silver embossing powder. Very textured with the small tile e/f.
Gorgeous metallic maple leaf, Loll! I LOVE the shine and the colors of the leaf! It's inlaid but pops against the beautiful white space.
The small tile pattern is unique and the combination of the organic element and the geometric element makes the leaf look so interesting!

You and Bonnie were on the same wavelength with oxidized maple leaves, but created with two different techniques. The metallic EP with the purple is stunning. The design... CAS perfection.
