Hi everyone. Today I've used a NBUS (never-before-used-schtuff) stamp. :) I've had this beautiful Penny Black image just waiting to be inked up. I used distress markers to ink the stamp and then spritzed with a little water before stamping onto mixed media paper. I did the leaves and the flowers separately hoping not to have too much cross-over of colours. I lucked out.
I didn't want to add a black sentiment, but wanted something softer ... I may have gone a little too soft. :)

ReplyDeleteBeautiful, and I think your soft sentiment is perfection!
ReplyDeleteA stunning card Loll - the soft sentiment makes it really discrete, and leaves the focus on the stunning floral image, which you have stamped so beautifully

Brilliant job of blind coloring on the back of this pretty stamp, Lolly! It looks completely hand-painted and I love the way you used a soft sediment. It allows the flowers be the only focus for the eyes. (Note to self.) Hugs, Dolly
ReplyDeleteThat soft watercolor look is beautiful. The greeting doesn't overwhelm the focal image and looks lovely in the gray.
ReplyDeleteWowie, gorgeous! The colors - yum! I like the soft sentiment. Breathtaking, Loll!
ReplyDeleteWOW !! A delightful card !! I love how the flowers blur into a mist. This card is one of your most beautiful cards, Loll !!!

Oh Bonnie this is really beautiful. Love the colours and the sentiment is perfect in soft grey. Black would have been too severe I think.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning, Loll. The flower is beautiful and the colour of the sentiment is perfect. xx
ReplyDeleteSoft, dreamy and gorgeous, Loll ... to me, the subtle sentiment is perfect ... it allows these lovely blooms to shine! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteThis is just stunning Loll! It looks like a painting that would hang in the wall, an expensive one! lol I love how soft it is and the sentiment done subtly is just perfect and not to soft at all. It is simply stunning! Your mixed media paper must me thicker than mine, what kind to you use? I have the Cannson Mix Media that I got from WalMart. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteWow this looks free hand painting. You did a terrific watercolour stamping, truly amazing. This masterpiece is more than luck, it's just plain talent :D
ReplyDeleteI love this stamp and have it in my NBUS box. You have inspired me to get it out. Love the colors you've used and may have to CASE this! You always inspire me, my talented friend!
ReplyDeleteFabulous stamping with water spritz card, Loll! I love the soft touch. You did a great job of separating the colors of the flower ad leaves! The light gray sentiment makes the flowers the star of the show.
