Hi everyone. Today is the start of the first challenge of the year at CAS Stencil. Not only is it our first challenge (hosted by the amazingly talented Nancy - scandinancy creates), but it's also our first anniversary. Have to say that the past year went by WAY too fast! :)
We hope you'll join us to celebrate our first birthday at CAS Stencil!
We hope you'll join us to celebrate our first birthday at CAS Stencil!
Nancy would like you to use a new (or unused stencil) from your stash to create your CAS Stencil card. Use any techniques or products you want and have fun!
For my card above, I used a new-to-me stencil from Simon Says Stamp called Tumbling Leaves. I first saw this stencil on a stunning card designed by Cat (Cat Luvs Paper ), click HERE to see Cat's card. I then HAD to buy this stencil. :) Used magical powders to create a stencil monoprint ... my favourite stencil technique.
We are thrilled to have Arlene (Sundaystamper Papercrafts) as our Guest Designer this month. Thank you Arlene!
Please check out the challenge blog to see the amazing CAS stenciled cards from our talented Designers and Guest Designer. I know you'll be inspired. Come join us in celebrating our 1st birthday!

CAS Stencil January 2020 Challenge - Use a New Stencil
You are right that is a pretty amazing stencil and it works so well as a monoprint. I love the colours and the softness at the edge which is beautifully contrasted by the black sentiment strip and gold hello. Thanks so much for inviting me to join your design team xx
ReplyDeleteHappy first anniversary to you and the team, Loll. Beautiful card and stencil. Your Magicals monoprint looks amazing. Great design with the black sentient strip too.
ReplyDeleteReally like this Loll - am hooked on monoprinting too I think!

Your monoprint stenciling looks like a burning bush in the colors you used Loll - wonderful bright hot colors! (opposite of the watercolour challenge - but we could use those colors to put out your fire here!) The black strip is so effective in stopping the eye! a beautiful card! xx
ReplyDeleteWOW! Your Lindy's Magical Powders really made the leaves pop on this card, Loll! Such a great idea to use monoprinting for your technique and a black sentiment strip for contrast! Love this fabulous work of art! xx

ReplyDeleteGreat idea for a layout with a stencil, Loll! I love stencils but I am always looking for new layout ideas rather than just stenciling the whole panel. Love how the black strip and gold offsets the bottom so beautifully!!!
ReplyDeleteYou do the best mono printing and this one is spectacular. I can see why you love this stencil. A fab card dear Loll. xx
ReplyDeleteWOW! What a fabulous stencil and great results from the mono printing too! xx
