Hi everyone. Today's card uses a NBUS (never before used schtuff ala Darnell).
I really enjoy the Stampendous stamps and have a lot of them in my stash. For the card above, I outlined the flowers using a Festive Berries distress ink marker and then stamped onto a piece of mixed media paper. Repeated using Mowed Lawn marker for the leaves and stems. I left the stamp and my card front in the Misti. I then used a water brush to add more colour to the images.
Once I was happy, I repeated the first steps above, using the markers to re-stamp the outline. I love this fun and easy technique for watercolouring. I added a simple sentiment and some sequins for a bit of sparkle.

Hope you are all having a wonderful day. Thanks for visiting me!

Wow, Loll, gorgeous card, I will have to remember that technique...the hard part for me would be to remember to LEAVE the stamp in the MISTI! *wink Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very pretty carnation stamp, and that is the flower of the month for January, so very good timing! Love your technique too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful carnations, Lolly, and good job using your NBUS! It's a very pretty thank you card, but you know, of course, that Jessie has stolen the show again! I just love that film reel of her, in part because I'm pretty sure that's my process around 2 p.m. every afternoon! She and I would make good napping buddies!! Hugs, Dolly
ReplyDeleteBeautiful carnations, Loll! They look so real! LOL, love this sequence of pictures of Jesse! A dog's life!
ReplyDeleteThis card is GORGEOUS Loll! I love the way you outlined the image before water coloring...such a pretty technique!! And I always thought it was a cat thing about laying on the back of the couch, but our dog Daisy loves to do that too! Haha!! :0)
ReplyDeleteThese carnations are just gorgeous Loll, your card is beautiful and I love your DI Markers technique, hugs Robyn
ReplyDeletebeautiful carnations Loll, I always struggle with that technique. One I should practice :)
ReplyDeletedid you miss one pic with Jessie sliding onto the seat of the sofa. That really is her place :)
Love those carnations! Perfectly watercoloured using that great technique! And of course, I love the photos of Jessie. We were both putting dog photos on our blog posts today!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully watercolored with your markers carnations image, Loll. Such a bright spot on an other wise very dark and rainy day on the Oregon coast...you too I bet! TFS your pretty flowers and adorable Jessie photos. Hugs..Nancy
ReplyDeleteThis is an exquisite wee work of art Loll - love how you have stamped, coloured and re-stamped this beautiful image.
ReplyDeleteJesse looks like my cat in the sun on the back of one of my chairs :)
Blessings
Maxine
What a pretty stamp, and a great technique. I must practice my watercolouring this year.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos of Jessie too, she's so cute! xx
Such a pretty stamp and technique Loll.
ReplyDeleteJessie looks like butter wouldn't melt but I'm sure she's a tinker. Her positions remind me of Max, the last one being accompanied by a thump as he fell off! :)
Big hug to Jessie - nothing like a comfy pillow to rest a weary head!
ReplyDeleteLovely card Loll - the stamp is so pretty. x
PS - Thanks for the e mail! x
What a fabulous technique, Loll, so beautifully done ... these gorgeous blooms are just lovely! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeletenow you may not be as old as I am... but I'm thinking of your card base as the 'white sport coat' for your fabulous pink carnation! xx
ReplyDelete=]
Love those vibrant colours, they cheer up a very grey day here xx
ReplyDeleteLovely card, Loll. The flower is so pretty. xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card using your coloring technique Loll! The flower is so pretty and I love how you stamped off the bottom edge and added sparkle with the sequins! xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful image and colouring, Loll. I like the touches of sparkle too. Happy New Year! x
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous and beautifully coloured too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! and thanks for the tip of re-stamping the outline at the end! Sweet Jesse just looks like a little doll
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and watercolouring, Loll. Jessie ... adorbs as always.
ReplyDeleteLove the card. Jessie is a cutie!
ReplyDeleteTruly amazing water coloring as always! The carnations look so real. I smile as you describe the technique as "fun and easy", 'cause I sure do struggle with water coloring in general, but following the steps you (and Bonnie) lay out is a huge help. I am thankful to both of you for doing that. Jessie sure does have my vote on how to spend an afternoon(!!)
ReplyDeleteWoW this card is amazing , I love the watercoloring

ReplyDeleteI love the technique you have used here Loll and the outlining works beautifully. Jessie has found a comfy spot to have a snooze, so nicely perched there..lol. x
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty carnation card, Loll!
ReplyDeleteOutlining the flowers using the distress ink marker worked so well, and I love your beautiful soft watercoloring.
Jessie looks so comfortable on the top of the couch and she also looks like she’s sliding down. :-)
Hideko xx
Beautiful contrast between the same colours. Bold and pastel really works for me. Beautiful done. xx
ReplyDeleteYou really created the most beautiful yet oh so simple floral cards Loll. This is stunning from the choice of embossing powders to how those flowers look so real. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYour carnations are lovely, Loll. What a great technique.
ReplyDeleteI can never resist a flower stamp Loll and I don't yet have a carnation, so I can see a little hunt for stockists of Stampendous stamps coming on! I love your technique here - a lovely watercolour look but with a strong outline. Will remember that tip. Jessie is absolutely adorable and looks very comfy on 'her' couch! Vicky x
ReplyDeletelove the way you created those gorgeous flowers....great idea!
ReplyDeleteand look at that little pup, he's got such a sweet face.
