Hi everyone. Today I've used a beautiful floral collage stamp to create a birthday card. I stamped the image in Versamark and heat embossed in silver onto a light smooshed background. I then watercolouring the flowers with distress inks so they stood out. I added a 2-sided thin frame from perfect plum card stock and stamped the sentiment in a couple of shades of purple to get the right colour. The main image is popped up on foam for added dimension.
This was a quick CAS card to make (QACAS ... ala Darnell). I sent it to a friend for their birthday which was yesterday, but with the mail to Australia being super slow from Canada, it most likely won't get there in time. :(

I'm adding this to the Seize the Birthday Challenge #183 - Show me your White Space. I'm all about white space. :)
Thanks for coming by for a visit!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Loll, loving that image and how you used it. The colors are just beautiful, so sunny and happy as well as feeling summery. Which if I am correct it is summer in Australia. Loving the purple panel, it just sets that image to pop. You are just keeping your friend's birthday celebrations going a little longer and I'm sure she won't mind one bit! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteI love the look of this, Loll. I'm hoping I can CASE it with a variety of stamps.
ReplyDeleteIt's so pretty, Loll! Love the white space. I sent a card to the UK and it fell into the abyss. Never was received. Same happened with a card that was sent from Australia to me. I hope your card makes it!
ReplyDeleteYou have the magic touch with watercoloring, Loll! Your blooms are so pretty and I love your 2-sided plum frame...such a pretty card! Barb xx
ReplyDeleteSilver embossing and plum card stock are the perfect pair. The loose watercolouring keeps this busy stamp grounded. The recipient will thrilled as punch. It'll be like a second unexpected surprise. xx
