I've had this Penny Black stamp for a long time and I've only used it twice. It's so pretty and delicate, and I thought the blooms would look lovely in red. I inked the stamp with markers, spritzed with a little water and then stamped onto mixed media paper. I love this technique! It gives an instant watercolour look. Sometimes I have to stamp a second time (maybe with more ink, maybe with more water, or maybe with neither or both). Just depends on how the first pressing looks.

Love the simplicity of this Loll - a gorgeous stamp and the loose watercolouring look fits it to perfection. (Glad you're back!) x
ReplyDeleteThat technique is beautiful and what an easy way to "watercolor" for those of us who are not quite so gifted in that area!! *wink! I love your beautiful red flowers! Heart Hugs, col
ReplyDeleteLoll, I just love this stamp … so happy to see you using it again, and sharing it with all of us!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful and I just spied my next stamp purchase! I've seen this one before and this is a technique I too just love. I love the simplicity of the artwork. Never thought of this as a Christmas card but it works perfectly! And YAY that blogger is back up!
ReplyDeleteThis is a very pretty PB flower and the marker straight to stamp technique has given a stunning result Loll. You have it just right adding enough colour and water to keep the image clear which I think here is just perfect, and love that sentiment too. x
ReplyDeleteThis is a stunning card Loll! I am so loving that beautiful image and you are right, the berries/blooms look great in red. I love this technique and planning on trying it out when I do my card. Hugs, Brenda
