Hi everyone. Today's card is for the April Rudolph Days Challenge. This challenge runs every month from the 25th to end of month. I do love making Christmas cards! :)
Today's card also uses a NBUS stamp set from Poppy Power called "Cozy Cupfuls". I just bought this recently and had to play with it right away. Sweet images. I stamped in permanent black ink and watercoloured with distress inks and dye inks.
I framed it with an antique frame fro Penny Black onto an olive green card base. Sentiment is stamped in black to match image.
I'm heading over to join the new NBUS Challenge #13 since this is a new-to-me stamp. :)
Close-up ...
I hope you'll come play along and build (or start) your stash of Christmas cards.
These are difficult times. I hope you are all well and have avoided getting this horrific virus. Hubby and I (and Jessie) are home full-time. We miss our family and friends. Stay safe everyone!

April Rudolph Days - Anything Goes Christmas
NBUS Challenge #13
This is really sweet and heartwarming, Lolly! I can see why you wanted that image. You colored it beautifully and I love that you framed it onto an olive green card base. Years ago SU had the prettiest olive green paper and I bought reams of it in case they did away with it like they like to do. You inspire me to think colored card base more often! Thank you for sharing at NBUS. I'm glad you guys are all tucked in and staying safe!! Love, Dolly
ReplyDeleteThis teacup Christmas tree image is so sweet. I collect various sizes of trees as 'i like to do a forest on my fireplace mantel. I place them all in varying sizes of silver plated jugs and sugar bowls for their tree bases. Think I just might try a teacup one next Christmas!
ReplyDeleteLove you pretty card, Loll and thanks for taking part in the Rudolph Days Challenge.
What a lovely framing and holiday image Loll.

ReplyDeleteA really beautiful image Loll and love the colours you have used and the frame with that pretty edge and the olive green background both finish it beautifully. x
ReplyDeleteIt's a beauty, and no wonder you had to have this adorable image... beautiful coloring! So glad to hear all of you are well!
ReplyDeleteI love your traditional Christmas tree with a twist...never seen a tree in a tea cup, but it sure works and love your watercoloring. Your Old Olive CS really makes your pretty image pop:-) TFS my friend. Stay safe and creative. Love and Hugs..Nancy
ReplyDeleteYour card has a wonderful traditional feel to it. Either the tea cup must be very large or the tree very small, I love it either way. Thank you for joining in Rudolph Days Challenge this month.

This is such a pretty Christmas tree image, Loll! I've never bought a big real Christmas tree, but I could display this kind of mini-tree at home. :-)
ReplyDeleteYour coloring is beautiful, as always, and your choice of the color-matching green for the card base is a wonderful touch!
