I mounted my watercoloured, heat embossed vellum onto a piece of acetate for stability. Then popped it up over my card base with a thin white frame.

CAS Mix Up June Challenge - Embossed Vellum
I think the vibrancy of your colours is amazing, they look so good with the silver heat embossing. What a good idea to use acetate to support the vellum - good thinking xx
ReplyDeleteThe silver adds the perfect accent to this beautifully watercoloured bouquet. All the pop of colour off the edge make for a very special appeal. The gradation of the petals are well noted and gives lovely highlights. Gorgeous! xx
ReplyDeleteA beautiful stamp Loll outlined with it's silver embossing and perfectly watercoloured. Gorgeous! x
ReplyDeleteOh my, Loll, this is extraordinarily gorgeous stamped on that vellum! and the Platinum? Stunning!!! The magicals still escape me, but my brain is working on this already!
ReplyDelete=]
This looks so dreamy and ethereal, Loll. Love the color on vellum. I have never successfully heat embossed vellum. Maybe what I have is too thin. This turned out fabulously!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the information about the magicals x. What a fabulous card and stunningly beautiful x. The effect of the heat embossing looks amazing Loll x.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty with the silver embossing and lovely coloring of your flowers Loll! A great first challenge for the new CAS blog! xx

ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Loll and a great idea to use a piece of acetate with the parchment to give it more substance within the popped up frame, and just love the beautiful Magicals colours, so bright and pretty using that super flower image from WPLUS9.
ReplyDeleteLiquid platinum you say? Now I have to have some. And those Magicals...their names are as dramatic as they are.

Simply gorgeous Loll. Love the bright colours. Those Magical's are 'magic'.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful and elegant! I love the colours too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty vellum flower card, Loll! I love the vibrancy of Magicals, the translucency of the vellum, and the shininess of the metallic heat-embossing! I'm sure the shimmer from the Magicals must be prettier in real life too. When I read that you used Magicals on vellum, I immediately wondered if Magicals stayed permanent. I'm so glad that you shared with us that it did stay permanent. I'd love to try my Magicals on vellum myself soon.
ReplyDeleteMounting the vellum piece onto acetate for stability is a wonderful idea!
