FadeOut Ink

Hi everyone.  Today I experimented with FadeOut Ink.  I was inspired after seeing my friend Trina's card HERE.  I've had my ink pad for several months .. it might even be a year, but have not used it yet.  Today is the day.  Sending this to the NBUS #15 Challenge. ;)
I stamped my flowers and leaves with FadeOut ink and then watercoloured using Distress inks.  When you watercolour over top of the outlines, they show up in a darker version of ink, similar to what happens when you use Archival Gray Shadow ink.  After a few hours, the lines are completely gone.  It's going to take me a while to get used to this ink, but what a great way to do no-line watercolouring.

I splattered the background with a mix of pink and orange inks that I used to colour the flowers.  Then stamped a large sentiment in soft gray ink.  I thought it needed something to make it look more finished, so added the thin oval frame in light gray to match the sentiment.  Popped the panel up on my card base and done!

Close-up ...
I'm sending this over to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Anything Goes (optional spots and/or stripes).  This time I have the spots from my splattering! :)
Thanks for stopping by!

I've got this ink Loll and I am so daft - I didn't realise it fades out after a few hours and didn't like the effect so threw my effort into the bin!!! (Don't say it!!!)
So I shall now go and have another go - cos I really like this card! xx

The flowers are beautiful in pink and orange, and love the grey frame and inked sentiment, and some pretty spattering too. The fade out ink is a new one to me but will be on the look out as this would make no line watercolouring so much easier. x

Beautiful painting Loll! Love the blend of those colors. You always do an outstanding job of that! Never heard of Fade Out ink but sounds like a product I must try. What a great idea. I'm very curious about that since I do love no line coloring. Thanks for the introduction to another new product.

I didn't know this ink had been around that long. This is the first time I've actually seen it explained in a way that intrigued me enough to go take a look at the product. Thanks for that, Loll! I'm going to put it on my next shopping list... whenever that will be. You did a beautiful job with it and I like the simple gray frame.

Thank you for sharing your experience with this ink, it's fascinating. It's been on my Wish Lists for a while, but my watercoloring skills need to improve before I venture forth.

Fabulous! Your florals are pretty and I love that tone of gray -- grays are hard, they're brown, they're green, they're dark... I've been wondering about that ink, I've seen it around but didn't really understand it's use so thank you, Loll

I bought that ink too, Loll, and have not yet used it! Will have to try! Lovely colours in the flowers, and the grey makes a nice soft contrast.

Aww, thank you so much for the shout out! 😘 This is so beautiful, Loll! Your no-line watercolouring with or without the Fadeout ink has and is always gorgeous. I rarely see oval frames, but it looks great, especially in the gray!

This is a beautiful card Loll, but I've not heard of the fade out ink! How interesting to hear how it works. It certainly looks like you did no line coloring for sure. Love the oval around this card and the beautiful sentiment. Hugs, Brenda

Perfect CAS card. A great combination of colors, a gray, subdued frame beautifully brings out the picture and emphasizes the colors of flowers.
