Hi everyone. Back with two more cards using one of the new stamp sets from the Penny Black Refreshing release. Soulful Silhouettes (30-691) has a beautiful collection of images --- seven in the set. Today I've used just two ...
I had leftover distress inks on my palette after finishing another project. I sprayed lots of water and dropped my mixed media paper on top, moving it just slightly. I ended up with this gorgeous mix of several colours ... soft colours because of the water I added. I LOVE IT and thought it would pair perfectly with the silhouettes. I used my one piece of mm paper to create the backgrounds for both cards. The image and sentiment are heat embossed in white, adding to the softness of the card designs. The images were cut with a Simple Stackers((51-613) frame die. The main panel is popped up on the card base.
The designs are the same with smooshed background, white heat embossing, and framing. Just changed up the main image and sentiment. The first card has a sentiment from Gratitude (30-105). I've double embossed both the flower and sentiment so they would stand out more.

The second card uses a leafy image from the same stamp set and sentiment from Family Sentiments (30-555).
I double embossed the sentiment so it would stand out more.

Wow those backgrounds are GORGEOUS! So organic with fabulous mix of colours... so impressed you didn’t get mud! The white embossed silhouettes with that frame is perfection. Beautiful cards.
Very delicate and pretty backgrounds. The white embossing on both look fabulous along with the gorgeous die cut framing. Beautiful cards Loll, both of them x.
Beautiful cards Loll, the backgrounds are so pretty. I love the frame die you've used, I haven't seen that one before. xx
Beautiful soft Distress Ink smooshed backgrounds for your stacker die cut backgrounds. Perfect for your white heat embossed silhouettes and sentiment images, Lolly. Loved how you double heat embossed some of your white heat embossing to make the image and the sentiments really stand out. TFS your new PB products, my friend. Love and Hugs...Nancy
Love this card!
I love the softness of the white embossed silhouettes with the gorgeous pastel backgrounds, Loll! Serene and lovely, my friend!
The silhouettes are so pretty Loll and the ornate mats show them both off beautifully and two great sentiments and the colour mix is gorgeous. x
Both are simply gorgeous, Loll. The frame die is pretty awesome too
Two wonderful cards Loll, the background colours are so gorgeous with the embossed white foliage and sentiment and that die frame finishes them beautifully... love them both - hugs Robyn
those watercolour backgrounds are gorgeous Loll, I love the soft colours and how they mixed. The white embossing is so pretty against the watercolour wash :)
Exquisite work Loll - loving the white embossed silhouettes and sentiments over the soft backgrounds.
Stay safe

These are so pretty Loll, well done making use of the leftovers! Love the frame you've used too, it really makes for an interesting yet still CAS design. :)
I love both of these cards Loll ..... the soft colours in the background look so pretty with the white embossing, and the die cut frames add the perfect extra detail around the edges.
This new PB release is a must have .... haven't found anywhere in the UK with stock yet but my shopping list is growing! xxx
So very beautiful, love the soft colours and the frame, then the double embossed is gorgeous.
Take care
Faith
Sooooo beautiful, Loll ... absolutely gorgeous, both of them ... you're making these stamps so tempting! Hugs, Anita :)
Wow, I am so loving the backgrounds you created for these cards Loll! The images you are using go so well on these dreamy backgrounds too. Loving the white embossing on the images too. Keeps the cards so soft and dreaming looking. Love, love, love! Hugs, Brenda
That white heat embossing looks stunning on those wonderful soft backgrounds xx
Two beauties for sure Loll! When I went on my PB shopping spree, this was another of the sets that I had to order...every image in this set is so pretty! I love how you did the silhouettes in white too as they look fabulous against your softly smooshed backgrounds on both cards. Lovely, lovely cards my friend!! :0)
Oh how gorgeous those pastels are! Although I'm fond of your bright, cheerful colors these are so beautiful and soothing. I also love the white silhouettes against it. Your backgrounds and framing stole the show on these.
I love the soft pastel coloring you achieved on both cards, Lolly! Your first one is a gorgeous rainbow! And I love the double-embossing and appreciate the reminder since I never remember to do that! Now the question is, can I really justify yet another rectangle border set of dies??? Love, Dolly
Two beautiful cards - love the soft colouring! Great use of the leftover ink on your cards. And lovely white silhouettes on top! Wonderful framing with the Simple Stackers.
Beautiful - love the colours and those great silhouettes.
Oh they're gorgeous!! So soft and delicate and I love the frame!
Your cards are always such a visual delight, Loll. I really love this 2nd one - the soft background, those particular leaves and the great die cut for your focal panel - the bees knees!
Two wonderful cards. I love the delicate watercolor background. White embossing increases the delicacy of the card
xx
Colourful pastel panels of pleasure. Brilliantly stamped and white heat embossed. Love this clean appeal.
I LOVE the fabulous mix of soft distress ink colors, Loll! I thought the title "soulful" was referring to the background.
I was also wondering how you could always use your inked paper towel (for mop-up) and left-over palette to produce such a beautiful effect!
I can almost see smiles of the white heat-embossed silhouettes, happily swaying against the beautiful background.
Hideko xx
Oh my wow! These softly colorful backgrounds and the white embossing are incredibly gorgeous!
