CAS Christmas August Challenge

Hi everyone.  We have a fun challenge for you at CAS Christmas this month.  Susan (Cardmaker's Garret) is hosting and she wants to see ...

Susan is looking for your take on this song.  It doesn't have to be literal, but make sure if it's not obvious, that you let us know in your post what part of the song you were inspired by.  So what are my four owls about ...

I have only changed one word from the original song ...

On the fourth day of  Christmas
My true love gave to me
Four Colourful Birds
Three French Hens
Two Turtle Doves
And a Partridge in a Pear Tree

This is such an adorable image from Wild Rose Studios ... too bad they went out of business.  I stamped them on mixed media paper, coloured with Zigs, and fussy-cut.  Then I stamped it again onto patterned paper and then paper piece in my images.  The image fit perfectly into this stitched, semi-circle frame.

Close-up ...

We are thrilled to have Meg (Bits and Pieces) as our Guest Designer this month.  Welcome Meg!

Please check out the challenge blog to see Meg's awesome 12 Days of Christmas card, along with the amazing designs from our team.  Don't forget to keep your design CAS (clean and simple).

  9. I belong to a choir and it is a one choirs always have in their repertoire so have sung it quite a few times. We will forgive the change of 'calling' to 'colourful' birds Loll as they are very colourful and cute and love the semi circle die and the pretty background paper, and a sentiment from another Christmas carol and very appropriate and pretty in red. x

I bought several of their stamps at our local stamp store, which also went out of business a couple years ago. Your leafy background is so pretty. I hope I can play along this month!
