I think these Chillin' Gnomes from Simon Says Stamp are the cutest! And I love having a mushroom cap sun umbrella. How fun!
I stamped the images in black ink and heat embossed in clear; then fussy-cut. Coloured the images with zig w/c marker and set them aside.
Created the background with lots of ink and water with a large paint brush which gave me a soft sand and blue water background. It was a little too subtle, so I took the same colours of ink pads and lightly did direct-to-paper. This gave me some definition and interest to the background. Adhered my large mushroom directly to my card front, and popped up the gnome and small mushroom. Added a simple sentiment to finish the card.

oh Loll, it's to hard to concentrate on the card when you have picture like that of Jessie. Both are adorable but Jessie beats out your gnome :)
What a fun image Loll using the cute gnome and prettily coloured toadstools, and also the lovely beach in the background sets the scene, and just a simple sentiment which looks great in red. I love the way sweet little Jessie has been given some digital specs...so cute! x

Oh, ha! Such a cute card! Very summery and adorable, and your background makes the perfect scene. Jessie looks like a regular little bookworm in those glasses. Looks like a fun app! I have a pic of LuLu wearing Rich's glasses. So cute.

OMGosh, this is a cute card Loll! I hate that summer is coming to an end, but at least you are keeping it alive with this cute scene you have created. I love your water and sand-the direct to paper with ink has really given depth to the water and sand! That gnome eating a slice of watermelon is so cute in his beach attire. Love the mushrooms too, he needs shade at the beach! Awww, Jessie does indeed look very smart in her glasses! lol I hope she is doing better. She is just so cute I could give her a big squeeze! Such a cute Gnome on the beach, Loll! The bright red and blue are perfect summer colors. The ocean and the sand beach are so beautiful, and the direct-to-paper ink pad coloring definitely added interest and made the scene look real.
I thought Jessie was actually wearing glasses!! What a fun app! She looks so cute and intelligent!
