Hi everyone. A couple of weeks ago, we had our regular monthly group crafting session with Zoom. This time we decided that we needed to pull out a long-neglected product to play with ... we chose Perfect Pearls. Sharing four of my Perfect Pearl cards today that I made as samples for our crafting session. And the rest of the group is sharing too - see below for links to their Perfect Pearl cards (Bonnie, Brenda, Christine, Darnell, Susan).
I only have four Perfect Pearls colours - all metallics (Pearl, Gold, Copper, Bronze) that I received as a gift ages ago from my dear friend, Mary.
Have to say it was fun to research and play with these lovely little pots of shimmer. During our session, we covered several Perfect Pearl techniques. We had a LOT of fun.
For the card above, I used Picked Raspberry Distress ink mixed with Pearl-coloured Perfect Pearls and water to watercolour this lovely image from Penny Black. The image is heat embossed in Liquid Platinum and then watercoloured That's it. The colours shimmer from the added Pearl powder, which you can see a bit better in the close-up photo below.

For our second technique, we smooshed a mixture of distress inks and Perfect Pearls. I used Mustard Seed and Carved Pumpkin Distress Inks, along with Pearl-coloured Perfect Pearls to create this shimmery, pearl background. I then stamped my image in Versamark, dusted with Copper Perfect Pearls, and misted lightly with water to set the powder.Close-up ... you can see the shimmer better from this angle.
Here's another card using the other half of my smooshed background.
This time Bronze Perfect Pearls were used to dust over the Vintage Photo Ink-stamped image.Close-up shows shimmer must better ...
The last technique I'm sharing from our zoom meeting is watercolouring die-cuts with Perfect Pearls.
I used two colours of Perfect Pearls on the leaf sprig, Gold and Bronze. I mixed the powders with water and painted two coats onto my leaves and stems, which creates an opaque look. The sentiment is stamped in Versamark, dusted with gold Perfect Pearls, and set with a light mist of water.Close-up ...

thanks for reminding us that we had perfect pearls in our stash but had forgotten how much fun they were.
Love all your cards Loll, so much shimmer and sparkle :)
All the cards are really lovely!
You're a hard act to follow, Lolly, but you make us want to do just that with your expert teaching! Thank you! The session was so much fun, I learned a lot about my poor forgotten PP, and I loved playing with the little pots of shimmer. Every one of your sample examples is stunning! Hugs, Dolly
It’s been fun hopping along... looked like a productive zoom time. Another wonderful set of cards and techniques using PP. i do love all that gorgeous shimmer. I think I need to dig mine out... if I remember that is. 😂
I love seeing a close up of these beauties, Loll! Thanks so much for showing us all these fantastic techniques!
Oh Loll...these are all absolutely GORGEOUS!! Each one is beautiful and unique in it's own way! Definitely need to get mine out, wipe off the dust, and have a play with them! Thanks for the lovely, lovely inspiration!! Hugs. :0)
Well Loll what fantastic cards and you made the most of the pearls you have. I simple adore them all and must give this a go. I have a couple of mica powders, not proper perfect pearls, but also Pixie Powders mixed with water will give a great sparkle too, and I will definitely be giving these techniques a try. I have done some of these in the past but not for absolutely ages. Your zoom meetings are fun and obviously very worth while. x
Beautiful, every one!
LOVE your Perfect Pearls cards, Loll!! Thank you for the reminder to get those out to play with again!!
Beautiful! All are gorgeous, and not a surprise that metallics are the pearls of choice. Your final card is absolutely stunning

OH! My goodness these are a Stunning set of cards. I LOVE the shine on each and I have to say the die cut on it's own is fabulous in it's simplicity. Gorgeous colour choices on each also.

What gorgeous cards, Loll! I’d forgotten all about perfect pearls! Mine have sat here for years. I love the look of all of these but your leaf sprig just jumped off the page at me. Love the shimmer on all of them. Your painting as usual is gorgeous and the backgrounds on the mustard ones are fabulous. Thanks for the inspiration.
You are such a great teacher and really go all out for us with these zoom meetings. Your cards are beautiful and just shine. I love them all and the last one with that great die is truly stunning.
Wow, Loll, all of the cards are beautiful! I love the warmth of the BG's with the copper and bronze! The painted leaf stem is really wonderful on the last one! An example of an outstanding CAS card! I need to get mine out and play with them. Thanks for the inspiration!
What unique and stunning effects with the pearls. I learnt so much from reading your post Loll x. It's amazing what can be achieved from such a small pot of shimmery powder. Stunning cards Loll with tons of inspiration, thank you x.
You sure looked like you had fun too x.
You girls are really making me wish I still had my Perfect Pearls. I have other shimmer things, but not quite the same type. Seriously, can't have everything! I love the fall colors you chose to work with for your backgrounds and solid stamps, but also how you used them with pretty raspberry for watercolor on your flowers. All your stamps are just beautiful, too.
Gorgeous cards, Loll! I really love how you played with Perfect Pearls in different ways, especially how you painted with 2 metallic colors on your last card! Thanks for reminding me to get my Perfect Pearls out for a play ~ xx
Wow, wow, wow! I love how you used the pearl powders to make these amazingly beautiful cards Loll! You ladies do come up with some great Zoom get togethers for sure. I really love them all, they are so unique. I had a little play with the powders with a friend of mine, but we didn't know much about using them so just made a shimmery spray with two of them. We will have to try out some of the techniques you ladies tried. Hugs, Brenda
Okay, now I need to get out my PP's and make some cards,, yours are all amazing as I am sure the friends are as well, I will go visit them now!!
I honestly thought I had already left a message on this post, but clearly not! All 4 of these cards are just amazing. we will all be getting our perfect pearls out now xx
what great results for these techniques using Perfect Pearls - I can see that I'll be getting mine out and dusting them off to try some of these! All of your designs are wonderful Loll! Love especially the delicateness of the die cut leaf stem!
What a beautiful set of cards and such clever techniques using those little pots of magic xx
Awesome cards Loll love the different techniques you used with the Perfect Pearls. I have painted with Perfect Pearls but not done any of the other easy techniques. Must give the other techniques a go. I am in love with the leaf stem die cut on the last card Loll, can you let me know who it was made by please.
OMG you're a very productive gal. These cards are amazing. My favourite is the HELLO with that PP branch of leaves. The dimension and shininess is the perfect dosage of enough. An exquisite CAS card. xx
Thank you so much for sharing different ways of using Perfect Pearls with these stunning sample cards, Loll! I've never mixed PP with inks, so I'd love to try it. So inspiring!!
Hideko xx
What a gorgeous showcase, Loll ... each card filled with shimmery loveliness ... that last one is especially stunning ... delicate, glowing and so deliciously clean! Hugs, Anita :)
Oh, four amazing cards, Loll. I love the fall card release. the colors and flickering perfectly reflect golden autumn. But the last page touched me the most. I remember your previous card with this die. You can create something so fabulously beautiful from an ordinary object. Thank you for this amazing inspiration, Loll!
Hugs,
BożenA xx
They are all spectacular Loll! Those leaves look stunning on your last card!
Wow Loll !! Now I can see the glow of the PP for myself on the card that just got to me. Despite the fact that you are taking some beautiful pictures, the picture does not show all the beauty of this card, eggs of intense, deep colors and the wonderful metallic sheen of a copper PP. Thank you very much for such an amazing card.
with love,
BożenA
