A day making Christmas cards

Hi everyone.  Sharing three cards that I made a while back while having a day of play in my studio. :)

I do love to make Christmas cards and I made some that were fairly quick and easy.  For the above card, I die-cut the snowflakes (sensational snowflake collage die - Simon Says Stamp) and then trimmed off the excess to create framed snowflakes.  I backed it with a panel of smooshed inks that was in my stash.  I coated the frame and snowflakes with crystal glaze to add some shine.  The sentiment is from a fun stamp set from Lawn Fawn called Merry Messages.

Next up is another pretty Christmas die and background from my stash ...

I started with a panel of stencil monoprint (Snowflake Stencil - Paper Artsy) done with blue and purple inks) that I had in my stash.  I die-cut the trees (In the Winter die - Penny Black) from white card stock and sprayed with shimmer spray.  I wanted more sparkle to sprinkled glitter over top while still wet.  The glitter didn't stick all over the die-cut, so I coated it with crystal glaze to seal.  The sentiment (Christmas sentiments - Penny Black) was stamped in matching ink.

Changing it up completely with a masculine Christmas card for my last make of the day..
This is a very easy and quick card to make.  I had this wonderful patterned paper (ho ho ho Christmas - Polkadoddles) and used a piece of the beautiful plaid just big enough to fit my silhouette stenciled reindeer (Christmas Reindeer stencil - STAMPlorations), done in black ink.  I popped up the panel over top of a red card base and stamped the sentiment (Snow globe sentiments retired - My Favorite Things) to finish.

These are all fabulous, Lolly! I have to remember that white Christmas die cuts are a great way to use up those pretty backgrounds we collect throughout the year! Thank you for that awesome tip! And I love the way you used the stag head with plaid for a wonderful manly card in classic Christmas colors! Love, Dolly

Three fabulous cards Loll, and love the pretty tones of the first with th white snowflake border across the card and then the soft and pretty pink and purples for the background of the white embossed trees, and finishing with my favourite as I simply adore plaid and that green and red is gorgeous with the black silhouette stag's head, and fantastic with that deep red card. A great idea to spend the day making cards, and it reminds me to get on with mine too. x

What a wonderful trio of Christmas cards this is, Loll! A fun and ever so slightly funky snowflake die on the first, and beautiful snowy trees on the second. I like how you let the center tree go out of the box. Finally, the plaid masculine card... love! Anything woodsy is so appealing to me. It was a good day of card making!

What a productive day you must have had Loll, and these are stunning cards - love the soft colours in the first two cards, and that silhouette is so dramatic, especially against the plaid
Stay safe

Now that is a productive play day! Three stunning cards. Your snowflakes and trees just shine. The trees on that background are so pretty and I like the tip to coat with crystal glaze to seal. That is a great masculine card and I love the plaid.

Three really lovely Christmas cards but I have to say that the middle one with the trees is my favourite xx

Wow, you had a very successful play Loll! I love the snowflake card. I had to go see what it looked like before you trimmed it down and I have to say that I love it trimmed better! The background is just stunning for those snowflakes to pop off of. I love the tree card, that background is very frosty looking and the tree's look like they are sparkling in ice covering them. I don't like when we get ice, but the trees do look beautiful encased in ice with the sun shinning off of them! I have this tree die, will have to CASE your card. Your stag card is so warm and cozy in the plaid, perfect masculine Christmas card. One can never go wrong with plaids in my humble opinion! Hugs, Brenda

Goodness, three in one go, Loll ... that's my total for Christmas cards for the year so far! Those delicate framed snowflakes are so pretty ... the frosty trees look all magical against the fabulous background ... and the stag is so handsome with the rich plaid! A fabulous trio! Hugs, Anita :)

All three cards have wonderful backgrounds, Loll! The colors of the smooshed one and the monoprint look fabulous with the shine and shimmer from the die-cuts.
The beautiful holiday-color plaid is perfect for the black reindeer silhouette. Awesome masculine holiday card!
