Won't be long now before the Christmas cards need to be in the mail. This year has just flown by.
This is a beautiful Penny Black image I have watercoloured with distress inks. I first heat embossed in white and added a background of light blue. Watercoloured the poinsettias, leaves and berries and stamped a sentiment in dark red.

ReplyDeleteAah! I love Jessie's bangs and red is her color! Love those red poinsettias too! Beautifully watercolored and festive!
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL, Loll, this is really fantastic. Jessie is as cute as ever too
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful PB stamp and love the look of the white embossing and the blue in the background which shows off the prettily coloured poinsettias perfectly Loll. What a sweet photo of Jessie too.. I don't think you'll have any problem finding that glove in that wonderful bright red..lol. We posted our overseas cards today. Last year our son in Australia didn't get his Christmas card until a week afterwards and it had nearly three weeks to get there, so just hoping that with all the problems it does make it on time this year. x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card - the blue shading really makes the poinsettia stand out. And I love the photo of Jessie and her Covid hair.

I never tire of your beautiful floral watercolored cards, Lolly! Do you know, I don't think I've ever watercolored with DI. I know! You do wonders with them and every time I see one of your cards, I think how I have to give it a try ... maybe next month I'll actually get to some of these things I have been wanting to try. Stop laughing!
ReplyDeleteThank you for telling me about the photo or I would have missed seeing my favorite one yet! I actually LOVE her Covid hair - and that face! Here's what she's thinking: "Hmmm, I'm not sure. She gave me this, but, really? Is it really okay?" I just want to swoop her up in a hug!! TFS! Love, Dolly
