I pulled out a beautiful background that was made a little while ago using Lindy's Magicals. I love these gorgeous pots of powdered colour with mica. So vibrant and shimmery!!
I used all the snowflakes from the stamp set to cover the card front, heat embossing them in silver. Doesn't really show up well in the photo above, better in the close-up. Added a silver embossed, torn vellum sentiment banner using a sentiment from the same stamp set.

What a gorgeous background with the silver embossed snowflakes. Someday I'd love to learn the secret of embossing on vellum. Mine tends to buckle. Beautiful color too!
ReplyDeleteYour shimmery background is perfect for these snowflakes, Loll! Love your idea to use vellum for the sentiment, too...such a stunning card!
ReplyDeleteOh wow Loll for the result you got with those magnificent magicals. Stunning and those snoflakes are spectacular. A most beautiful card with the vellum to finish it off perfectly. Merry Christmas my friend.

ReplyDeleteI'm convinced I NEED Lindy's after seeing all the beautiful backgrounds you make with them. Those snowflakes are gorgeous embossed with silver and I forgot all about tearing. Lindy's seem to be a softer color than the powders I have.
ReplyDeleteLove it, those silver snowflakes look amazing against that vibrant and shimmery background xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful background piece. I can just imagine the gorgeous shimmer IRL. Love the colour with the silver.
ReplyDeleteWOW! These enchanted powders create enchanted backgrounds, Loll! I love how the light brings out the glow from the background, once the color is dark and deep, only to shine in a moment. The silver embossing looks perfect.
