A big thank you to Helen (Cards from Helen). Helen has been our wonderful Guest Designer this month. Thanks Helen!
This is a new-to-me stamp set from Simon Says. I just love the florals on this one. I stamped the images randomly on mixed media paper, heat embossing with princess gold. The images were then watercoloured using Distress Inks (Abandoned Coral, Peeled Paint, Mustard Seed). The sentiment (also part of the same stamp set) was heat embossed in princess gold onto a black card stock banner. My embellishments to finish the card are some clear sequins and a line of gold cording under the sentiment banner.

ReplyDeleteThis is a knock-out, Lolly! I'm setting it aside as inspiration for all those outline stamps I was telling you about! I love the way the gold-embossed blossoms, beautifully painted, are tumbling about on your card front. The black sediment panel with the gold embossing and that simple gold cord (brilliant!) are just perfect! Love, Dolly
ReplyDeleteWhat beautifully watercoloured flowers Loll, and that light bright gold embossing suits it perfectly, and love the contrast of the gold on black embossed sentiment strip going right across the card, and some pretty sequins and gold cord too. x

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the soft color as well as the gorgeous shading. For the life of me I'll never figure out how you water color on mixed media paper. It dries so quickly for me and I end up with splotches the few times I tried. This is really fabulous, Loll!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shine from the Princess Gold EB powder (thanks for close up) and love your pretty stamped and watercolored flowers and leaves. Adding a few sequins and the gold cord were the perfect embellishments. TFS my friend. Love and Hugs..Nancy

ReplyDeleteLoll, I don't know whether my embossing powders are getting old, or contaminated with anti-static powder, but I seldom get the gorgeous results you have today!
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful floral card, my friend!
Merry Christmas! xx
