Hi everyone. We are half way through the month, which means it's time for the CAS Challenges reminder cards.
First up, CAS Mix Up - Splatters. This has been a fun and easy challenge. Thanks for hosting Hilary!
As I mentioned in my blog earlier (2nd card in post), I have been working on an on-line class by Heather Telford (Heather Telford's Winter Wonder class). I made two cards that I'm sharing today using her Snowy Vistas tutorial. These are so much fun to make! :)
Close-up ...
This card is a morning sunrise card. I used the same colours Heather used for her example ... LOVE these colours together! :) Added white splattering for falling snow, a simple frame, and stamped the sentiment to finish the card.
Sponging, masking, stamping, die-cutting, and splattering are included in the CAS design.
------------------------------------------------
Next up is the CAS Christmas Reminder with Julia as host. My favourite thing is to make backgrounds for my silhouettes. So fun! Thanks Julia!
This time I made a Night Sky Snowy Vista following the tutorial in Heather Telford's Winter Wonder class.
Sponging, masking, stamping, and splattering are included on this card design.
I'm also going to add this card to the CAS Mix Up Challenge - Splatters ...

I hope you'll check out the challenge blogs to see the amazing cards from our Designers, Guest Designers, and participants. If you haven't had time to play along, there's over a week left before both challenges close on 24th at midnight PST. Come join us!

"Wow" is the first thing that came to mind. Both of your cards are amazing! Morning and night -- how beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow Loll what fabulous cards and two completely different looks with the early morning sunshine and then a moonlit night and both with such pretty trees, and your ink blending and snow slope shadows are gorgeous with more yellow tones on the sunrise which look great on the slopes, and the wonderful blue/purple tones on the moonlight example, and I love the ornate frame on the first and the panel popped up to give dimension on the second. x
ReplyDeleteBoth these cards are fantastic. I love how you have made them glow and the splatters are perfect xx

You have created two beautiful snowy scenes Loll and I love the way the different colours create different moods. I particularly like the snow effect of your splattering in the night sky version. Vicky x
ReplyDeleteWow Loll! These are both so beautiful! Your snowy scenes are lovely but the sunrise card captivated me the moment I saw it. I've never thought to use yellows in a snowy scene. Such beautiful inspiration!!
ReplyDeleteTwo gorgeous cards, Loll. Love the wintry scenes that you have created. Love them both.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards, Loll! Love how you created depth to your design with masking and ink blending...especially the blue night sky! xx
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards Loll, I especially love the Sunrise with the golden glow.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are lovely, Loll! I love the warmth of the sunrise one, but the shine from the moon is wonderful, too! Heather creates some wonderful scenes and you must be one of her best students!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful. The class is sure paying off. The sunny morning scene is different and fabulous. Wonderful job of masking and sponging. Perfect way to use silhouette images.
ReplyDeleteTwo more more beauties! The colours in the first make the scene look magical!
ReplyDeleteI love both of these, Loll, the bright happy look of the sunrise/sunset one and the serenity of the blues. Both so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteTwo real beauties here Loll. The colours on the first card are amazing and I love the shades of blues on the second design.
ReplyDeleteI signed up for Heather's workshop but I haven't had chance to get started yet. After seeing these cards I can't wait to get stuck in xx
When I look at the first card, I have the impression that I can see a winter landscape illuminated by the setting sun. The white of snow is enveloped in the warm color of the sun's rays. It looks so great !! And I got the impression that it is a sunset, because in the morning the colors are very delicately marked, and the sunset gives more saturated colors. But probably in Canada they don't have to be the same as in Poland :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd another amazing card, Loll. I love the look of your night sky. Your sponge work is perfect and I love all the brighter reflections in the sky. It looks so realistic!
xx
wonderfully done scene cards...great job.
