Another Sponging Technique using stencils

Hi everyone.  One more new-to-me sponging technique which I used to create my hubby's upcoming birthday card.  The background technique is Dina Kowal's Faded Water Stenciling video on SplitCoastStampers.  I changed it up just a little by adding blending through the whole stencil (a step near the end of the technique), not just at the bottom, otherwise, I followed her steps.

I'm happy with how this turned out and I know hubby will love it!  Used an older die from Cheery Lynn called Pair of Ferns --- I think I've had this about 20 years and still love it, especially for masculine cards.  I paired it with a black, thin frame (Thin Frames Rectangle dies from Simon Says Stamp).  The black looks fabulous overtop of the bright DOX inks of Peacock Feathers and Mowed Lawn (over top of a Leaves stencil from AliExpress.

Close-up ...
I'm sending this over to Seize the Birthday Challenge #208 - Create a Scene (optional).  I didn't use the optional topping this time. :)
Thanks for coming by for a visit!
