Sticking with the theme of the day, the card above is done all in green. :) It's done with a new stamp from Penny Black's Daydream release, called Fresh Fern (40-722). I stamped the image several times in Shabby Shutters distress ink to cover the background. I then stamped the image once more, in Rustic Wildness distress ink to create the focal point. I sponged a scrap piece of card stock with more Rustic Wildness and then used a new Penny Black die (Thanks & Hello - 51-638) to cut the sentiment. I coated the sentiment in crackle glaze before adhering to to my card front (hard to see in photo).

Thanks for topping by for a visit!
Loll this is as pretty as it can be!! Gorgeous stamping, fabulous greens!
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patrick's Day to you, and thanks for the blessing!
We love ferns! Tom dug up so many from our former woods to tuck into areas of our garden beds - they thrived there! Not doing as well here, but we still love them.

I was SO happy to see this one, Loll! I just got this stamp and it has not been inked due to spring cleaning (ugh). I love how you used it by using the light stamping in the background. Now I can't wait to play with it.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing all this green on St Patrickl's day..

ReplyDeleteGreen is definitely the colour for St. Patrick's Day and such a beautiful green for this pretty fern Loll and love the second generation stamping in the background, and the large 'hello' in that wonderful new Rustic Wilderness goes perfectly here and a great bit of crackle glaze on them too. x

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful tonal card and the fern stamping looks fabulous Loll x. Loving the crackle on the sentiment too x.
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated St. Patty's Day Loll! I am so loving your all green card! That fern stamp is amazing, I don't know what it is about fern stamps/dies, but I love them. The background you made with the stamp looks so pretty, but it is the deeper ferns that you stamped that I am so loving. This stamp looks like it has a lot of "texture" with the way it was made. Feels like I should be able to reach out and touch those ferns. lol Hugs, Brenda
