Hi everyone. After posting a card the other day using the pretty sunflower stamp (Pop Sunflower - Stampendous) - (click HERE to see the card), I decided to make two more. They do make happy cards. :)
The card above uses patterned paper for the background (I'm on a roll!). :) Love this woodgrain paper. Works perfectly with the sunflowers. I watercoloured the flowers in a new-to-me colour combo of Rusty Hinge and Aged Mahogany. Love the colours together. Splattered more of the same two colours in the background. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.
Sending this over to the CAS on Friday Challenge - Flowers.
Thanks for stopping by!

Sunflowers never fail to make me smile too Loll, and both of these cards are so bright and cheerful with the yellow/orange/red colors and the dsp and burlap. I can see why it was hard to stop at just one card!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteI'm am swooning over that first card, Loll. Love, love the woodgrain paper and the Distress colors are ones that I've used and they are fabulous on those sunflowers. Of course they're lovely in the brighter colors too and adding a burlap tablecloth was such a good idea.
ReplyDeleteThe colors of Rusty Hinge and Aged Mahogany look stunning together for sunflowers. The strip of burlap looks pretty on your sunflower card.
ReplyDeleteI loved your previous sunflowers on that pretty wordprint paper Loll and I adore the next two in your set! I always love the look of wood as a background and it looks fabulous with the splatters. The strip of burlap works brilliantly to ground the jar too. Vicky x
ReplyDeleteI love to see different cards made with the same stamp, it just shows off the versatility. Bot cards are great but I think I would choose the second as my favourite because I love the burlap xx
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are so well done! I think it's unanimous that we all just love that wood background paper! Wonderful idea to use it with those sunflowers. Maybe one day I'll get the nerve to try and color a class jar and hopefully do as well as you did.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, sunflowers are really happy flowers :)
ReplyDeleteI love the burlap and DP as backgrounds for that wonderful bunch of sunflowers :)
