CAS Christmas August Challenge

Hi everyone.  Time for a new challenge - CAS Christmas August Challenge, which is hosted by the lovely Cathy (Cathy's Card Spot).

Cathy wants us to show her Christmas decorations on our cards.  I started with a very glitter ornament using the Ornament - Set of 2 die (Elizabeth Craft Designs - retired).  I do LOVE these ornaments.  The one I used today has the poinsettia design.  I die-cut the background from a piece of alcohol ink card in my stash.  This uses my favourite colour combo of AIs (wild plum, sunset orange, sunshine yellow - Ranger).  The topper was cut from Stampin' Up! glimmer paper.  I love the sparkle!

To add even more sparkle, I used some glitter paste (Silver Chrome - Cosmic Shimmer).  I love this pale silver that looks so pretty through the Speckles stencil (Kaisercraft - retired).  To finish, I stamped a small sentiment in black ink (Merriest - Avery Elle - retired) and added a silver hanger.  Black sponge ornament was added to the back of my alcohol ink ornament to pop it up from the card base.  I like how the black just shows a little around the edges.
