But then I started trying all different types of techniques and I left brayering behind for several years. I have seen some cards using this technique lately, so thought I'd see if I could remember how to do it. :) Here is my first attempt. Overall I'm happy with the card, but I definitely need more practise brayering. :)
I used glossy paper so that the brayer glides on the paper. I started by sponging the center first with Mustard Seed ink and then on top of that with Abandoned Coral ink. Next I inked up my brayer with Chipped Sapphire, which is a deep blue. This looks like a night sky to me. I did add some Wilted Violet at the top but it doesn't really show.
I stamped my silhouette mountains and bullrushes (Mountain Madness 40-751) in black ink to finish. It takes a while for the ink to dry on the glossy paper so I set it aside. Once dry, I stamped my sentiment (Good Wishes 30-541) in black ink onto my card front before adding the popped up, inked panel.

I also used to love Michelle's brayered scenes Loll but being a lazy crafter found I could achieve something vaguely similar with sponging that took a fraction of the time and no clean up either! On the other hand... these gorgeous cards show how smooth the ink transition can be and they look wonderful. Your colours are superb! Vicky x

I'm thinking you should be the one doing the brayer technique! This is just gorgeous. The reflection is stunning and those colors look terrific. What a great card. How sweet these dogs look and it's wonderful that Jessie gets along with all her dog friends.

Wow those colours are gorgeous Loll, and the bullrushes and distant hills really make a fabulous scene. I think you brayered beautifuly and a great idea to sponge on the yellow above the horizon before adding the deep blue top and bottom..so full of atmosphere. x
