Hi everyone and Happy New Year!! We are starting 2022 with a fun CAS Mix Up challenge from our host, Jenny. She wants us to try out Loose Watercolouring. This means that you can go outside the lines and not have to worry about it! :) Jenny has provided several links to video tutorials on the CAS Mix Up challenge blog if you need some guidance.
The card above is a pretty stamp from Penny Black (Full of Glee). I used markers to add ink to the outline image, pink for the flowers, green for the leaves and stems. I then used a water brush to move that ink around the image, adding more ink if needed. This is a fun and easy way to do loose watercolouring. The main panel was cut at an angle and mounted onto a Pear Pizzazz (SU!) card baes. The sentiment (Lawn Fawn's Simply Sentiments) is stamped in Versamark and heat embossed in white.

You just have to love pink and green together especially these bright and soft hues and what perfect splatters. After all this time I am still struggling to master the splatter! Happy New Year xx
Love your pretty Loose Watercoloured floral card image, Lolly. This has been a fun technique to start out our 2022 year for CAS Mix Up. Wishing you a wonderful Happy Healthy Creative New Year, my dear friend. Love and Hugs..Nancy
I love your interpretation of the loose watercoloring! Those florals are just gorgeous, as is the design of your card. It's such an honor to be Guest Designer; thanks for having me!
Fabulous card, Loll - love the angled lines! Perfect loose watercolouring - it's something I really struggle with (I spent too much of my childhood learning to stay very accurately inside the lines when I coloured!). But I'll watch the videos you've listed and see if I can get inspired!
This is one of my favorite stamps and I LOVE how you've used it with the loose watercoloring, Lolly! Cutting at an angle was a great idea to give the card an even more playful feel! Happy New Year my friend!
A very stylish design and fabulous colouring! A very Happy New Year to you Loll!
Happy New Year Loll!
This is one of my favourite PB stamps and you've done a great job with the loose watercolouring. I love how you've cut the panel on an angle too, very stylish! xx
Loose and lovely, Loll. Say that 5 times fast. lol You picked a beautiful flower to watercolor and I love the splatters.
GORGEOUS card Loll!! I love the loose water coloring on your flowers and leaves and the splattered background too! And the angled layout on the green card base is so fun and different too! Lovely, lovely card my friend, and a very Happy New Year to you!! Hugs. :0)
Simply gorgeous Loll. Love the soft pink and green tones and you have made this flower so realistic with your loose watercolouring. Love the angle cutting and of course the splatters too.
This is beautiful Loll and love the bright and pretty colours and the added background spattering works brilliantly. I love the way you have added the piece to the complementary green card a jaunty angle too..all adds to the charm of the piece. x
This has a dainty feminine feel to it, Loll! Very pretty! Happy New Year!
Gorgeous Loll, love the softness of the loose watercolouring. I must play along this month ♥
Your loose watercoloring is really beautiful, Loll and perfect for this lovely bloom! I also love how you angled the panel and added splatters...so artistic!
Happy, healthy New Year to you ~ xx

Oooohhhh - love, love, love the loose coloring but still the defined lines!
So lovely, Loll, and a beautiful example of one of my favourite techniques. Loose watercolour for the win!
Love the eye catching design Loll and loving the effect of the pretty loose water colouring on your beautiful card x.
I love this idea and there are a number of way to do loose watercoloring, none of which I'm any good at. You aced it, though, with this beautiful piece! Happy new year, Loll!
Setting off your lovely, gentle watercoloring at an angle really adds a graphic element to your stunning card. So beautifully colored and designed.
Happy New Year wonderful Lolly! xx
This is one of my all time fave colour combos and your gorgeous loose watercolouring is wonderful on that fab stamp. Love it. x
Gorgeous card Loll, the outline marker technique is a great way to loosely watercolour and your card design is a nice twist, hugs Robyn
Happy New Year Loll! Beautiful card, love the image with the Loose Watercolouring and splatters.
This is so soft and pretty, Loll! The loosely watercolored petals look so light and delicate. The front panel cut at an angle makes the card look interesting and fresh!
Hideko xx
This watercolor technique is really great. I love how water works with paint, and subsequent stamping brings the painting back a bit to the frames. Fantastic card
