Hi everyone. I'm back with a reminder card for this month's CAS Mix Up Challenge - Loose Watercolouring, hosted by Jenny. I'm a "colour inside the lines" kinda gal, so Loose Watercolouring is a little bit of a stretch for me. The best thing was to find a technique that worked for me, and I did on YouTube (see link below).
Click HERE to see Simple Misty Loose Watercolouring. I think it's a great way for a beginner (like me) to try Loose Watercolouring. I did change it up a little, using a stamp for my trees (Stampscapes Pine Row) and not hand painting them. I then used re-inkers to colour my trees, brushing the highly pigmented inks directly onto my tree stamp (Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness, and Blueprint Sketch re-inkers). I still added water to the watercolour paper before stamping, with a little at the top and heavier water at the area that would become the bottom of the trees. A simple sentiment and die-cut frame finishes the card.

You should be very happy with how this one turned out. What a good idea to use that blue along with the green, it looks stunning xx
I love your Loose Watercoloring technique using reinkers, Lolly. I agree, this has been a fun challenge using different techniques by all the CMU Girls. Beautiful and creative cards in our gallery too. Love and Hugs..Nancy
Love this and you made it sound simple (I know better than to say that) so I may have to try it. Love the purple and green trees, a delight to the eyes. Thanks for describing your technique. Sounds fun to do too!
Your choice of colors is striking, Loll! The blue/purple sets off the shades of green so well. I, too, struggle with "loose watercoloring," so will check out the link you provided.

Loll, I watched the video and it was very informative, I love how your card came out! I think I am kind of like you, coloring inside the lines is the way I roll too! I really like how the colors blend out at the base of the trees!
I would never know that you're the least bit uncomfortable with this technique, Lolly! This looks like a pro did it! Fantastic, my friend!
Oh Loll, I love this card. The addition of the blue trees amongst the green add so much depth and interest. You certainly have this technique down pat.
You did an amazing job on this with those beautiful trees, Loll! Love how you added some purply-blue. The framing is really nice, too.
Gorgeous Loll, love the mix of green and blue trees and your loose watercolouring ♥
That technique worked out so well for you, Loll! It's a beautiful card with wonderful colours in the trees.
This is beautiful loose watercoloring, Lolly! I have never done that technique and I love the results! I also love the unexpected surprise with the bright blue trees and sediment. Striking! Love, Dolly
This is great for your first try at this. You make it seem so easy and quick and it's beautiful. I have a hard time going outside the lines as we are taught to color inside the lines. It's like wearing checks with plaids, just can't make myself do that.
Wow! Wow! and Triple Wow!!! I don't know how anything could be better than this. Beautiful! I love those blue trees mist the different greens. Bravo Miss Loll - you have won the grand prize of the day.

You did a great job Loll and yes I know exactly what you mean about colouring inside the lines! Fabulous effect with the loose water colouring and thank you for the inspiration x. Love the blue trees too Loll x.
I love the loose watercolour scene with the beautiful trees which look fabulous with the added bright blue in there and echoed in the sentiment, and beautifully framed for an elegant finish Loll. x
I absolutely love how the colours blend from the trees into the grass, it's such a terrific effect! Gorgeous card... as ever!

Your card turned out fabulous Loll, love the trees and the artsy loose water colouring at their base.
So pretty, Loll, love the colours, the stamp and the fact that it is the star with all that white space around it.
What a terrific masculine card, Loll, bold & beautiful
Wow, this card is so pretty and cool looking Loll! I love those trees, but I really love the way you "loosely" watercolored them. Not that I know much about that, so will have to go watch that video. You know me and watercoloring. lol Hugs, Brenda
I'll have to see this video. You've created a spectacular effect and to me it looks as though the sun is shining through the trees. And I do like an easy technique! x
The trees look wonderful, Loll, especially with the different colors. I love the way the water wicks the color at the bottom.
This is a great example of CAS cards and it's beautiful, Loll! The contrast between the sharp and vibrant colors of the trees and the blurry ground is fantastic! Wonderful choice for the tree colors and the wide frame!
Hideko xx
