For my launch card on the 1st, I used a technique to create this look using black card stock, gold heat embossing, and Finetec Metallic Pearl paints.
This time I'm using a different technique (one of the original ways to create Faux Cloisonne), which uses magazines, catalogues or any other printed medium on glossy paper. The important part of the technique is to create a shiny, metallic, glossy look using glossy images with lots of metallic heat embossing. Stamps with intricate designs work best with magazine images.
The card above uses a couple of pages from an old calendar that I was going to recycle from last year. The lower leaf is stamped and heat embossed over a sunset with a small bit of yellow and orange from the sun, but mostly a deep blue sky. The top leaf is stamped over an Autumn tree where the leaves are turning colour ... mostly yellow with a little orange. You would never have guessed what the original photos are when you look at the leaves. :)

I have that lace leaf stamp set and really haven't used it much as I struggle to come up with a design for it, but you have made it look fabulous and I see you have used the sentiment from the same set too. I have used that quite a lot, I love it simplicity. Your leaves look fabulous with that stencilled background, love how you have faded it out and used that bold blue xx

Looks like you've picked two perfect pages to emboss on for your cloisonne. The deep blue and hint of orangey-yellow with embossed gold is gorgeous and it simply glows on the turning leaves. Repeating the blue with a stencil makes the layered leaves really enhances the layered leaves.

Wonderful leaves Loll - we don't waste a thing, do we! Love how these are so detailed that the original art only shows as colours, and the blue stencilling behind is the perfect foil.
