Penny Black - Sweet Sip

Hi everyone.  Sharing a card using one of the new stamp sets from the Penny Black's Springtime 2022 release.

This adorable stamp is called Sweet Sip (30-905).  The cat peeking out of the tea cup is so darn cute!  And it has an awesome matching sentiment to go with it.

I stamped the image in black ink and clear embossed.  I stamped the image a second time onto a post-it note to create a mask, added the mask over the image on my card front, then added the Honeycomb Stencil (25-012) over top of everything.  Used Shabby Shutters distress ink and a sponging brush to lightly add green ink onto my card front.  Once happy with the colour, removed the stencil and mask; then finished the image by watercolouring with more colours of distress inks, along with a couple of lines from my white Posca pen for highlights.

    That is so so cute and pretty Loll and the honeycomb stencilling in the background looks great..beautiful colours too, and the perfect sentiment. I particularly love the way you have added the two highlights..one on the cup handle and again on the saucer to indicate the light shining on the surface, such attention to detail. x

    Kittens get into everything so this shows him off so cute! The expression on his face says "surprise" as he pops up. A darling image and beautiful water color. I like the stenciled background.
