Hi everyone.
I started by stamping Cheerful Christmas (Penny Black) in black ink and then heat embossing in clear. I watercoloured the image using distress inks, then added a little bit of sparkle and gloss to the berries before cutting my panel down. I stamped the sentiment (Christmas Moments - Penny Black) in the same black ink and heat embossed in clear to match the image. To finish, I popped the panel up over my black card base.

A wonderful scene, love the white on black and the offset panel. I never think to do that and yet it really works to add interest and make it a little different xx
Looks like my favorite tail-flipped Carolina Wren, Loll! You're so right - it is perfect! Love your shiny berries!

Beautifully colored, Loll! I'm still trying to make friends with watercolor without much success. Love this image as well as the perfect shading on it. Beautiful card.
What a cute little bird, he looks so festive sat on the holly branch. The offset panel looks so stylish on the black card xx
Love this sweet bird sitting in the holly, Lolly! Love this layout and how the black sets off the design!
What a gorgeous stamp Loll, and you have used it to perfection on this card - your water colouring is fabulous.

What a BEAUTIFUL card Loll! I love the dramatic black base against the awesome holly and bird image on the stark white layer...such a STUNNING color combination! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
Love it! The layout is as you say well suited to the image.
Absolutely love this image, Loll, and you colored it perfectly.
The berries drew my eye first. They just shine. The watercolor is so pretty and the sweet bird looks so pleased with himself. I like the tilted design too.
This is beautiful Loll and I love the colours you have used for that sweet bird and the bit of sparkle and gloss on the berries gives them seasonal prettiness, and the slanted positioning of the white top layer over the contrasting black background and the coordinating black inked sentiment work so well. x

A wonderful layout and your bird looks wonderful.
Love your sweet bird on a holly branch watercolored Christmas image, Lolly. Mounting your pretty image at an angle on black cardstock really made it pop! TFS my friend. Love and Hugs...3 months until Christmas...oh my!
A pretty bird and holly, very colorful, and really pops against the black. I love the tilted and off the edge design.
Such a fabulous image, beautifully coloured, Loll and it would be so good for winter birthdays too. Love the added sparkle and modern layout.
I hope you are well,
Take care
