Tricks to mounting word dies using double stamped vellum technique by Chrissie Stokes (27:33)
For the card above I started by stamping and white heat embossing Together (Penny Black) on vellum. I flipped my vellum over and stamped the same images (mostly the blooms) onto the back with Wilted Violet distress ink. I angled the image and stamped several times. Always good to have some of the stamping on the back so that it's overlapping part of the white stamping. When you flip it back to the front, it really does look 3-D with the different layers of stamping. I added strips of metallic purple paper along the sides of my vellum panel, adding foam tape on either side (back of metallic strips) so the panel is popped up from the card base. I stamped the sentiment (Special Sentiments - Penny Black) in white pigment ink onto another piece of purple metallic card and heat embossed with white. I cut the sentiment to size.
