Hi everyone. Another month has flown by as I continue to recover from surgery. I'm getting stronger every day. :) Today I'm sharing cards I made for the Group of Seven Cardmaker's blog using Alcohol Inks on Gelli Plate.

Christine made several cards using the technique that she posted HERE. We were all so thrilled with her cards, we asked her to lead the group for a Zoom call in late April. Thanks Christine!
To be honest, I haven't had the best luck using my Gelli Plate that I've had for several years. But after seeing Christine demo using mini gelli plates, I had lots of fun using my newly purchased minis and ended up with several cards that I'm happy with - yay! :)
Following Christine's instructions, I used three colours of alcohol inks, along with blending solution on my 3" circle gelli plate. I used an air blower tool to move the inks around. I didn't want perfect circles, so left some edges without ink. I placed a piece of Neenah Solar White card stock over top and pulled my print.
For the card above, I used three alcohol ink colours and then stenciled over top with a honeycomb stencil from Magenta. I stamped a wildflower from the Meadow stamp set (Inkadinkado). The sentiment is from Simple Sentiments (Lawn Fawn). I used the sentiment stamp set for all three cards. :)

I suggest that you use gloves any time you are using alcohol inks as they stain anything they come in contact with. As well, best to make sure your room is well ventilated ... I always have my window wide open. :)

These are all absolutely BEAUTIFUL Loll! I love all your color combinations and the stamps you used to complete each card...they are truly mini works of art! I only have the medium rectangle size gelli plate (5 x 7?) so not sure if it would work and I've never had much success with it before, but I think I might just have to try with this one! Well, I'd say you figured it out with your new smaller gel plates Loll - these three cards are beautiful! I have had trouble using the gel plates with acrylic paints and I am much happier with the Alcohol Inks. Your backgrounds are so bright and vibrant with the mix of colors you used - and the black stenciling and stampings really set them off well! So glad Christine had this technique for us to play with this month! Julia xx
Once you have the ingredients out you might as well make mutiples, Loll, and yours are all beautiful. I love the irregular edges and the way the silhouettes pop off the inky circles.
I'm so glad I found a gelli plate technique that you like, this one is perfect for CAS cards. I love your colour combos with the vibrant colours. Careful this technique is a little addictive :)

Wow...3 Gorgeous gelli plate alcohol ink circle cards, Lolly. I got the circle plate about a year ago after being inspired by cards designed by Christine. All the GO7 girls samples are so inspiring and gorgeous. I will definitely be playing along:-) Love and Hugs...Nancy

Beautiful! These prints are so pretty, and really unique. I love the fact that you left the circles only partially covered, but also that you're using regular cardstock.

These cards are stunning. I have never used a gel plate. But seeing these, makes me want to try it. So good to hear that you are making a good recovery.
Another brilliant technique and again one that I haven't tried..I have used a gelli plate but not with AI's, and your three cards are all so beautiful Loll and love the added silhouette flowers on each, and also that stencilling too on the first really adds to the finished look. x

I don't think you can get prettier color combos than each of these. I couldn't begin to pick a favorite. Exquisite with the silhouette stamps. I'm so glad to hear you're continuing to get stronger. It's a long road.
Awesome cards Loll, love the variety of colours with the silhouette stamps. I have a neglected gelli plate too, in fact I just bought another one as I didn't want to contaminate my other one with AI lol! I wonder if a mask would work to limit the size. I can see that this technique draws you in and you can't stop at just one background. Your circles look really beautiful and I think the fact that they are not completely filled makes them even more interesting. Perfect for silhouettes of flowers.
