Cards of Thanks

Hi everyone.  Today I'm sharing a few thank you cards that I made for my surgeon and nurses who cared for me during my recent hospital stay.

I'm still recovering and will be for a few more months.  In the meantime, my mojo is gone missing ... hopefully temporarily. :)  I decided it would be best if I CASED some of my previous cards, although I tried to add some changes to each of them.

The card above is for my surgeon that performed my heart valve replacement.  And below are a few more cards I made for some of the nurses that looked after me during my week stay at the hospital.  The rest of the cards I sent were from my stash.

... and ... this was a card I made for a playday with my friends Susan and Christine, that we had to postpone.  Smooshed distress inks and gesso with prints made from die-cuts.  LOVE these colours! :)

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. These are all beautiful Loll and glad to hear that you are doing well. It is wise to take your time and only do what you feel able to do. I find my mojo disappears after a holiday so it is no wonder that you feel like this at the moment, but I know once the time is right you will be full of inspiration. These certainly don't lack creative skill, and I love the stencilled clocks, a great choice for your surgeon and the pretty enamelled look of the flower is so pretty against the washy, background, and the last is my particular favourite..I LOVE the colours and the echo print of the really wonderful flowers...gorgeous! x

  3. My mojo has been playing hide n' seek too during a bout with bursitis. When it hurts to move, we'd rather not, right? Be patient-- that mojo will show up again!

  4. I am so glad to see some of your cards again. They are all fabulous. Even though you feel as if your mojo is missing, it doesn't show. It is also not really surprising that you are not feeling terribly creative at the moment as your body is too busy trying to heal. I am glad all went well and you are recovering. It will take a while, but it will be worth it xx

  13. The Dr. card is a great masculine card and the colors are great guy colors. The nurses will love their cards too. Both Doctors and Nurses are underappreciated and sending them thanks is a terrific idea. I love the colors on the last card and I'm so glad you are doing okay. Take your time and recover, we'll be here waiting.

  19. Beautiful cards! Perfect to give to the surgeon and nurses. Good for you for having the energy to make them. I think CASEing previous cards is an ideal thing to do at this time. My favourite is the third one - just love the smooshed background with the printed flowers behind the die cut ones.
