Hi everyone. The card above is Pearl Alcohol Inks on vellum. It gives the card a bit of a dreamy look. :) I simply smooshed the inks to create some pretty backgrounds. Adding a bit of blending solution helps the inks flow easier. Once the inks were dry, I sprinkled more blending solution on top and splattered with Silver Mixative (Ranger). The vellum panel is sandwiched between two pieces of card stock that have been die-cut with a rectangle frame. White die-cut of small grasses is added on top and the sentiment (Heartfelt - Penny Black) is stamped in Peacock Feathers distress ink.
I'm adding the above card to Seize the Birthday #263 - Anything Birthday Goes.
... and another ...
For this card I used Wild Plum, Sunbright Yellow, Sunset Orange on glossy card stock. I splattered with Delicate Gold Re-inker and also sponged the same ink onto white card stock; then die-cut my flower. Added a frame over top and stamped the sentiment in the same gold ink. Two half pearls were added to the center of the flowers to finish the card. Thanks for stopping by!

Stunning backgrounds for your die cuts Loll. :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely glorious alcohol ink backgrounds Loll both are beautiful and so different with the more light and summery colours on vellum..something I haven't tried, and then the vibrant really striking look of the red, yellow and orange on the second. The white die cut leaves and then the gold inked flowers on the other go perfectly with each of the looks to make two beautiful cards. x
ReplyDeleteBoth of these are really cool, Loll! I love that you said the first one looked dreamy as that was my first thought too. I love the colors on the second one equally as much. Two totally different looks but oh so very pretty. Thanks for sharing your talents with us at Seize the Birthday.
ReplyDeleteBoth of these cards are SO pretty Loll...you do backgrounds like no other and they're always GORGEOUS!! The softness of the first one on vellum really is dreamy and I love the boldness of the colors on the glossy cardstock too! Lovely, lovely cards my friend! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautiful, and I love the lightness of the white. That said, WOW I am bowled over by the gold...reminds me of an Italian piece of jewelry.
ReplyDeleteMore gorgeous cards with fabulous color! The blue-green combo on the first is an all-time favorite and even prettier that you did the sentiment in blue. I don't know why I find that so striking. Your second card is a total WOW! That gold is so smooth and creamy!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, Loll. Two beautiful cards. And double wow, for the gold one. That is gorgeous. Thanks for joining us at Seize the Birthday.
ReplyDeleteWow, these are great. Love the colors and the sentiments. The second one really pops with those colors and the gold. Thanks for sharing with us at Seize the Birthday.

ReplyDeleteI love the dreamy look of the Pearl AIs on vellum! The die-cut small grasses are so pretty against the background.
The background of the second card is stunning! Great sense of unity created by the die-cut flowers sponged with the same gold ink as the splatter.
