Hi everyone. A few more cards for October's Group of Seven technique - Stenciling over Heat Embossing.
I started the above card with the background, Stained Glass Background (Simon Says Stamp) - first time using this stamp even though I've had it for AGES! :) I inked up my stamp with Versamark and then stamped onto a piece of Neehan card stock (making sure to used anti-static powder first). I sprinkled with white embossing powder and then heat set. I love the close design that this stamp has ... perfect to use for Stenciling over Heat Embossing.
Next I attached the Fading Florals Stencil (Simon Says Stamp) over top, masking different sections at a time; then sponged Distress Inks: Shabby Shutters, Saltwater Taffy, and Mustard Seed inks. I LOVE the look.
Mounted my panel onto my card base and added a simple sentiment (Essential Sentiments - Maker's Movement - business closed) banner to finish.
Sending the above card to NBUS Challenge #56. First time using the Stained Glass Background stamp. :)
Next I wanted to try this using metallic embossing powder for the background.
The Lovely Leaves stencil (Wendy Vecchi) was placed over top of a kraft card stock panel which was stamped (Ornate Background - Simon Says Stamp) with Princess Gold embossing powder. I sponged with distress inks: Mowed Lawn and Ripe Persimmon. Using the metallic embossing powder gives this technique a completely different look. So cool!!

Oh my gosh ... my SIL, Alex took the yearly fall portraits of both Jessie and Violeta.
These were taken in their yard under a maple tree which had dropped all it's gorgeous red leaves.
He even added in a well-used wheelbarrow and rake. :)

Great cards too. The first birthday card is great with the traditional white embossing we'd been doing for the Go7. Love the other two with the use of the metallic embossing, especially the one on the kraft cs - it certainly elevates kraft cs to a whole other level!
All 3 cards are absolutely BEAUTIFUL Loll! Awesome job of masking (in the 1st card) with the stencil over the embossing...sooo pretty! And the two metallic cards are awesome!! You must have had a pretty steady hand over the silver one with that fine liner pen...I think I would have made a mess going over the raised edges of the embossing! Jessie and Violetta just couldn't be more photogenic...ADORABLE photos!! Hugs. :0)

Three different beautiful cards using this great technique Loll, and love the white embossing on the first with the stained glass look and he pretty flowers, and I think both the gold and silver embossing are fantastic with the leaves, and then the fun Christmas tree on the last..and I love the outlining of the tree which works so well to bring the tree forward and the Ornate background works brilliantly on both the second and the third. What wonderful photos of Jessie and Violeta..just the cutest with Jessie surrounded by all the fallen leaves, and Violeta looking on. x

Jessie looks right at home amongst the Autumn leaves in her wheelbarrow - she is the perfect contrast colour! And Violeta is simply huggable too! x

You really embraced this technique, and beautifully so, my friend! I love that you tried different colors of embossing powder for totally different looks! Alex is such a good photographer! Both Jesse and Violetta are beautiful dogs!
As pretty as the first card is, I was amazed by the second one, Loll. The gold embossing really gives an elegant feel to the card although it helps to have such a fabulous background stamp to use. The silver looks beautiful too.
The pictures of the dogs are so sweet and Alex is very talented.
These cards are just beautiful. I love the look of the gold and silver and the colors you chose. I will be trying this again. Alex is a wonderful photographer and has captured the dogs so well. How in the world does he get them to stay so still. I only get pictures of Daisy while she's asleep. If I pick up the camera or phone and aim it at her, she comes right to me! The wheelbarrow pictures are awesome and both dogs are as cute as can be.

It's hard to talk about your glorious cards after seeing the doggie photos, so first, thank you for sharing them, Lolly! Both dogs are colored perfectly for stunning fall photos, especially under Alex's expert eye! I haven't visited the Jessie tab for a while, so it was pure joy scrolling through them!

Oh, my gosh! I'm overwhelmed with the beauty of your cards and the adorableness and fabulous photos of Jessie and Violeta. Wow! I think you know how I feel about the pups and photography. My heart. Your cards with this technique have all been absolutely amazing. The embossed stamp on your second two cards makes a stunning effect. I especially love the gold embossing on kraft with the colorful leaves over top. Mind blowing!

You're on a roll creating Christmas cards using the Stenciling over Heat Embossing technique, Loll! All of these three cards are awesome! It's so interesting to see that Metallic heat-embossed backgrounds have a very different feeling from white heat-embossed backgrounds!
Jessie is as adorable as ever, and Violeta is posing like a professional! I can easily imagine seeing these pictures in a "Sweetest Dog" magazine.

This is truly an exceptionally beautiful technique. I definitely have to try it. I love all three cards. There is a really big difference depending on the color of the EP used.
