Hi everyone. Today I'm sharing a few Christmas tags I made last minute. They were really fun to make, and quick too! I pulled out a few of my Penny Black Christmas stamps and sentiments and got to work. :)
Most of the images are Penny Black, stamped in black and heat embossed in clear. Then I used a variety of Distress Inks to watercolour the images. I sponged more colour around the edges of the tags before stamping the sentiment to finish. The only exception are the first two tags that are window tags. I used a die-cut arched window to create the frame for the winter scene, which is simply sponged with two colours of inks for the background and then splattered with white for falling snow.
To finish, I cut lengths of seam binding and died them with matching distress inks, looped them through the top and tied a bow.
For the last two tags, I used fun, whimsical images from Penny Black. :)

ReplyDeleteYour tags are ALL FABULOUS Loll...I can't even pick a favorite! I thought for sure the first two were my favorites because of using the window die and making it into a tag (LOVE this idea!!), but then you WOW'd me with the beautiful Poinsettia tag and then followed up with the tags that totally made me smile with the cardinal, the sweet hedgehog, and of course that adorable pup all tangled up in the lights! I wouldn't have even needed a gift...just the lovely, lovely tags would have been a gift! Sweet post my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteGeez, Marcia took the words right out of my mouth! The window tags are the coolest idea and so beautiful! Then the poinsettia tag is breathtaking and beautifully colored. The bird and the dog are always favorites with me, but that dang little hedgehog in the giant Santa hat is sooo adorable. He looks like he's giving a thumbs up. I'm giving a thumbs up, too! Happy new year, Loll!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful batch of tags, Loll! Love the window ones with the peaceful scenes. Your colouring on the Penny Black ones is fabulous. And of course, I'm drawn to the last one with the crazy spaniel tangle up in lights!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful tags Loll! Wonderful soft colors used on the two window tags with those lovely birch trees, beautiful berry stem and poinsettias in the reds/greens, love the single ornament hanging from the branch with the cardinal and the cute Santa hedgie and light tangled pup!
